  1. I hope that it is ok to discuss this on here, but I was watching the news today and heard them say that Peterson was convicted on one count of first degree murder (being his wife)and one count of second degree murder(being his unborn child). How hypocritical is that?? Here our court systems and many doctors argue that life doesn't begin until birth but yet Peterson is being held responsible for the death of an unborn child??? Why can't our court system see all unborn children as a human life like when some woman is wanting to abort one of them. I am fully persuaded that an unborn child is just as alive as you and I. So hopefully this case may get the ball rolling toward banning abortion. Anyone have any commnents???
  2. Does anyone else think Auburn got screwed. I am so sick of this BSC thing that I could through up. I mean Auburn has pretty much rolled everyone they have played with the exception of LSU and Tennessee this weekend. I personally think it should be USC and Auburn playing for the title. Hopefully Auburn will come ready to punch out those stupid Hokies who sleep walked through the worst overall ACC performance I've ever see "meaning when was the last time that both Miami and FSU lost more than two games in a seaon plus NC state and Maryland were down as well." Well hopefully Auburn will win and at least get a piece of what they should be playing for.
  3. Do any mavs fans know how our girls basketball team is shaping up this year?
  4. I am almost to the point of looking for a new team. With Tech and Miami gone WVU should have won the Big East hands down. Forget the kicking game and Rasheed, WVU has a history of playing well one week and coming out the next week and they look like they've never seen a football before.
  5. Well you guys can call it off if you want to but let me say this, Weir are not my friends and I am not betraying the south. I hope Shady wins, I doubt they will but if they do I will pull for them. Bluefield on the other hand has very few fans outside of Bluefield. When Tech was in the Big East, do you think WVU fans pulled for VT in bowl games. Shoot no!!!!!! Look if you guys are going to talk smack and look down your noses at others what do you expect. I don't pick to lose just because I don't like you, I did it because I think you have met your match. And if you should happen to squeek past Weir get ready for a tough game against Wayne.
  6. Well you got your wish. And I'm sorry but this JM fan pulling for Bluefield would be like the Mets pulling for the Yankees. Sorry guys but how do you expect JM fans to pull for you after all the trash talk you give us. And as I recall there were some Bluefield fans who stated that they hoped Weir beat us so don't expect different from us
  7. Simple, you guys are a lot closer to us and we have to put up with your crap all the time, escpecially when you beat us.

Well the presidential elections are over but now is your chance to vote for who is going to play in the AA championship game. My predictions, Shady has turned some heads in the playoffs but now it's time for them to turn in their pads for the year. Wayne wins by 21 plus. Bluefield has beaten the best this year but asside from Martinsburg have they really faced a team that could run and pass the ball? I pick Weir in a close one. Weir vs. Wayne in Wheeling Hmm, has a nice ring to it.
  9. Well, I didn't pick us to beat you guys in the regular season nor did i pick us to beat Weir. Not that you guys would care but on the board i am 12 for 12 in AA playoff predictions. I don't pick Bluefield to lose just because i don't like them. I am a realist, i am picking Weir because they have a more balanced offense which Bluefield didn't face against us. Bluefield may pull it out but I think it will be Weir and Wayne in the state championship.
  10. I just got back and didn't get to see any of the games this weekend, nor did I take the time to read all of the posts on this thread. I believe I will be the first one to pick Weir though. Weir has a big line an awesome running back and QB. If the rain hurts anyone it will be Bluefield because they rely more on their passing game than does Weir. Weir has the line and the running back to grind it out on the ground in on a wet day. Weir 35 Bluefield 24
  11. Well I'm glad to hear that Weir may be overlooking us and I hope we do suprise them. I just haven't seen us moving the ball that well since we played Liberty back in the regular season.
  12. AAA Morgantown over Nitro Riverside over Capital Martisnburg over Jefferson Parkersburg over Bridgeport AA Bluefield over Keyser Wayne over Braxton Shady over Ravenswood in a close one Sorry Mavs but if I were a betting man, Weir over JM A Willaimstown over Parkersburg Catholic South Harrison over Madonna Wahama over Wheeling central catholic Moorefield over Matewan
  13. I don't know much about Ravenswood other than they haven't had a very difficult schedule and that they lost to Clay who was routed by Shady. I like Shady by 2 td's
  14. I for one have no love for Giles and haven't seen Floyd but much like Bluefield this is Giles year. They had a tough schedule and lost a few games early but they are a senior oriented team and there is no reason for the mto lose to Floyd asside from just not coming out and playing.
  15. I could have told Marshall that before they invited him
  16. Yeah with the exception of 1999 what has any football team from wyoming county done in the last 5 years. What happened to Wyoming east and the War zone. Ohh scary huh and the Tank riding the pine pony at Marshall
  17. Basically part of it was that rematches are almost always closer. Another factor is that JM primarily runs the ball so Liberty basically loaded the box making it more difficult for us to move the ball. I think the wet field may have contributed as well. As to your question about us being overated. Even though I am a faithful Mavs fan it is my observation that of the top five teams in AA that we are certainly the weakest with the possible exception of Ravenswood. The positive thing to look at is that our defense defended Liberty's run well, holding a 1500 yard back to 50 yards. The only Liberty TD came after a special teams let down on a long kickoff return.
  18. Actually I meant it would be fine for 1 and 4 to play in the semis and 2 and 3 to play. Mainly I meant it would be cool if all the top seats won the first two rounds and then it flip flopped and the lower seats wons the last two which would make JM champions. I wasn't neccesarily looking for the easiest way to Wheeling. I would prefer to beat Bluefield over anybody in the semis if I were confident we could do it. Right now there is considerable doubt.
  19. While Keyser has played a respectable schedule and handled Sherman quite easily I think any honest person has to give the nod to Bluefield. I would imagine that the difference in score will be between 14 and 21 points. I don't see a repeat of round one against Mount View.
  20. Yeah of course man. While I'm going to try and respect Bluefield more I'm not about to change my opinion about how I want the outcome to be. Plus this is wishful thinking anyway.
  21. not to be too arrogant but I was suprised to see that I was the only one to get all the predictions right. Most of the people tripped up on the Westside game. I hope that the trend of all the higher ranked teams winning continues until the semis and then I hope 4 beats 1 and 3 beats 2. Then at Wheeling 4 could beat 3 and life would be grand. Ok I know it probably won't happen but it is a nice thought. I'll put up a round 2 predictions thread around thursday.
  22. I somewhat agree. I was a big fan of the single wing when it came out and then this year I started thinking man we are so one dementional because of this single wing. Then it hit that Giles passes the ball effectivly so why can't we. Really the last QB I remember being very effective passing the ball for JM single wing or not was Matt Ballangee in 98. I don't love the single wing but I don't think it in and of itself is to blame for our simple run the ball tendencies on offense. I'm not an expert on playbooks but I think that If Giles can throw the ball out of it then so can we. Either we need more time to learn the new offense, we don't have anyone that can throw well, or Witt just hasn't tried it in practice and games enough to develope the pass. I'm guessing it's all three probably more so the latter two.
  23. Does anyone know who won the Wayne game or the Weir game?
  24. I think that Bluefield gets to decide the location and Keyser will get to choose day and time.
