The older Belcher isn't coming back, but his younger brother is. I remember Nathan was a force, but I don't remember how his younger brother was. He's pretty good if it runs in the family.

I was ten feet away from them when it happened. Lutz had the ball, Trent knocked away with the tackle. They got a throw-in after that right where the tackle was so J-W had to have gotten ball.

It was J-W Trent that took him out, and it wasn't a cheap shot. He slide-tackled him and he got ball. Lutz jumped when he came J-W came in for the ball and their feet connected. Lutz went flying and landed on his shoulder, but it was a clean tackle.

Tried to get him today. I'll try later, though. I think we're getting close with him.

I said in one of the other threads that its really hard to answer stuff like this. Although I would agree with soker, he's probably in the top five. But there's just no way of knowing who's good and who's not, for the lack of publicity. I know maybe 5 players not from Richlands. Just no way of getting an unbiased answer.

Answering this one was really hard. The only way we know how the teams will be is from on here and from what we saw last year. Soccer never gets any publicity, in the news papers let alone tv. I could only vote for my own team cause that's the only one I know anything about.

No offence to Carroll's jv, but Richlands played horrible that day. We always seemed to screw up when we played CC. We had a 4-0 lead after half-time at Hillsville, but we let them come back and tie. And we let them get a 3-0 lead on us in the tourney. We closed it to 3-2 but but we couldn't put a goal in there in the last second. They weren't half bad though.

These types of threads never get anywhere. They just cause arguments. People will just say that their own school will win it. How 'bout we change it to "How will your SWD team be next season?"? It's not perfect, but its better.

Can't we just wait 'till next September to talk about Richlands and Tazewell, tid? What happened to all the class you were preaching? Bringing back teams and games from over 15 years ago (which I assume your doing, considering you wouldn't have much to say about recent years) is a real class-act. The district is really starting to even out. It will be a whole lot more competitive. I don't expect Graham to remain on top within the next two years, maybe this year, but you never know. But it's definitely going to be a close race this year. Look for a lot of PK shoot-outs.

He was better at the flip throw-in than a regular one. Besides, he didn't have to work on it, he could just do it. Plus, Richlands coaches aren't much for strategy. That's why we finished last in the district last year.

Brandon Tegler was the one who did the flip throw-in, but he graduated last year. We do have a sophomore who's working on it. He tryed it a couple times last year. Not as good as Brandon but he's getting there.

Richlands should have a pretty strong defense, but we're going to have to find some replacements for our forwards. We lost the starting three from the varsity last year. A lot of j.v. players from last year moving up. But j.v. won district last year so we should fair pretty well. I don't know how Graham will be. They lost some talent in Belcher. He was virtually unstoppable last year, could get through about any defense. But they're always pretty strong. Should be a tight race this spring.
