Going for the extra point was the right call. Sometimes we forget that it is high school and these boys sometimes miss XP's but I would have made the same call. Just a very unlucky kick and could have went in but didn't..life goes on...congrats to R'lands and ya'll boys from Carroll keep your heads high you played one heck of a game against the #1 team in the state!

This is definately not Lance's first XP miss this year. He had missed at least 2 others I know of at William Byrd this year. He may be good in pregame but I think he should def. make an xp considering he practices them 2 hours a day....everyday!

Grundy will win the district. Who is gonna stop them? Honestly, they should have won it straight up last year and they will win it this year.

Sounds like Carroll took a big hit from the graduation bug but they seem to always have a good team. If they can pull a few players from JV up and maybe some stars will emerge and they will be succesful but my guess on the district is either Graham or Tazewell but good luck to all teams and i'm sure it will be a good race like always.

I have not seen richlands play or for that matter I haven't heard any stats of single players for them but I don't think there are any D1 players in the SWD. At least at a power D1 school, but maybe a small D1 or high D2 is possible, but I don't see any SWD kids PLAYING for a VT, UVA, WVU etc. team this year

any news on graham's game tonight?

The game was played at Carroll County High School. It appeared to be a very competetive but clean battle. No obvious fouls were missed and there was only one incident I can recall of stupidity and that was taken care of with a yellow card. I believe the refs did a good job this game, I must say much better than duffy did the other day. Well played game by both teams and good luck in the remainder of the season.

I think this will be a great game to see. I think Tazewell may have the edge if they saved their ace tonight and throw him thursday, that is if carroll threw their ace tonight which is really the more important game for them. but either way it should be interesting.

well it shouldn't really matter if u are selected to a team or what not it should basically just be a way for some of the players to actually get to know each other w/ nothing at stake and have some fun while doing so...i think anybody who wants to show up and play is more than welcome.

haha yeah sometimes bill does know a good call but sometimes he doesn't but nobody's perfect haha. but na this was just a joke to maybe get rid of some of the tension in that other post about ref's being biased haha in the real scheme of things....it's just a game and this time next year i guarantee you nobody will care who wins what game and how the refs do.

I'm a duke fan, and this is my take on the situation, Shavlik has been one of the biggest flops to come out of high school since like well who knows he's been awful but i really believe he is just testing the waters to see where he would be drafted, that is if he is selected at all, but he didn't get an agent so i am almost 100% sure he will be coming back to cameron next season. I dont feel he will start over McRoberts but he can be a big impact w/ the added depth he will provide.
