It's not that Tazewell is doing things their own way. You have to do things legally and the job has to be posted for a certain amount of time. It also has to be posted on the statewide data base... Interviews have to take place with a Committee and then they will narrow it down from there. The days of picking somebody and sticking them in a job are long gone, that's a good set up for a law suit. Everybody just needs to be patient. Interviews will begin after Christmas Break. In the meantime, I'm sure the assistants are having them lift weights and condition. Heck, if a parent is that concerned....take them to the dang Community Center or the Y for Goodness sake..

Graham needs to focus on lineplay this upcoming season. If they can get solid lineplay, they will be a contender.

Hey, I know that one happens for sure. Still a risk he's taking if he already has interest at the College level. A scholarship to ANY college is very valuable. Very few will go pro in a sport. Most will use the degrees they earn to make a living for the rest of their lives. Most of the kids that are lucky enough to go D1 may never even set foot on the field.

Let's say Tim is on the radar of some smaller schools while at Thomas Walker. He goes to Dobyn's Bennett and the reality is, he is not a D 1 prospect and his talent level was pegged correctly to begin with. Tim had already got interest from Cool College before he transferred. After he transferred, his loyalty was in question and Cool College withdrew their offer. Tim now has to settle for Crapola College who only offers "academic" scholarships to baseball players, that he could have went to anyway. My point is, it could be a double edged sword. Most of the time, the little Timmy's of the world's Dads are the ones pushing them to transfer. It is ultimately the parents' decision to move or transfer their kids. Sometimes it's for the best, sometimes it's not. That's a gamble the parents are taking. I'm not saying it's always a bad thing, maybe more good than bad....but is it a risk worth taking? Heck, Timmy may end up being the 4th guy in the rotation...

They will fit in nicely at Emory and Henry when they graduate. Can't wait to see what the offseason brings. Rumors are rampant and I'd say that in reality, nobody knows much about anything.

Harris who transferred to Tazewell.... and did quite well, I might add. Taymon Cooke averaged nearly 30 yards a carry, he may have been capable, I would think.... He had a sprained ankle in the last game of the season, hated that for him. He didn't whine about it, played hurt and did the best he could. Graham lost as many to transfer as they got....

Some epic battles to be had in C and D.

Graham may have a "few" signees of their own if the rumors are true (but you know how rumors go). Even so, with or without some outstanding transfers, Graham will be solid again next season. It will be interesting to see how Allen runs the offense, he has a rocket for an Arm and can scramble and take it to the house. Big issue for Graham will be improving the line of scrimmage. They got better as the year went on, but still need some more size and experience, but there are some promising young men coming back. Graham will have several athletes, Cousin will be hard to replace, but Jazaire Reed shows a lot of promise to carry the load at RB and Chris Chinault could be a good change of pace. Just need to shore up the line of scrimmage... Of course T. Cooke will be back at WR.

What I can't believe is that this even goes on at the High School level. Times sure have changed since Burrhead Bradley Boasted that he could beat your 11 with his 11.... and his 11 with your 11....

I think the Richlands Roster should list Name, Height, Weight, Class year, Jersey Number and Hometown. (Relax folks, just kidding)... My take is, if they are moving WITH a parent into the attendance zone. You can't blame anybody but their parents for their disloyalty to your team.

They haven't done any interviews yet. Nobody has been hired yet, told they were going to be hired or anything of the sort. Deadline to apply is December 19th. Interviews will be conducted after Christmas break. Colobro would be great for Tazewell and it would be nice for him, if he were able to move close to his dad. It would be hard to imagine a more qualified person or better fit for the Bulldogs, but you never know..... As far as moving to Tazewell.... Tazewell is an awesome place, full of awesome people, no matter what some of the folks from the outside think. The High School is awesome and it is full of awesome kids and they deserve nothing but the best in all areas, not just sports. We have some special kids in this area folks, not sure how much you guys realize it, but after living in different areas..... it's not even close.

Having lived in Farmville for 3 years (20 minutes from Appomattox)... I can say that there is no shortage of athletes in that area. I don't feel like they would need to recruit. I think they just have the right coach.

You sure we are talking about the same Willis? Not the one from Different Strokes... I'm sure he is a good person and was certainly a great coach. But he ranks right up t here with Phil Robbins in the Popularity Contest.

The description of the hair fits Morgan.. Didn't know he was out. .He is a good player. He is a starter.. Will be missed early . If he is out. Graham doesn't have one guy that stands out...
