  1. The Princeton rb that year was Tyrone Gilliard
  2. Out of the Bluefield players I've seen and no disrespect to the ones I havent seen. Amaker was the most exciting to watch and the that none of us wanted to see on the field lol. He was the hardest to stop, because you had to account for him on every play, because if you didn't all he needed was 1 play to beat you.

  4. yeah MV has only Beat Graham once and it surprisingly it was at Mitchell Stadium 48-20. MV has gotten a few bad calls in their favor, but in most cases they usually go against us. If you want to talk about bad calls every team gets the benefit of a few here and there.
  5. They both should be rotated, but at least with the bball tournament in charleston it seems more accessible for everyone in the state to make it to see the games than it does with football in wheeling.Another negative thing about Wheeling is that the people who do come to those games end up doing most of their business such as where they stay and eat in Ohio. I'm not very familiar with where the state of ohio hosts their championship games, but I'm willing to bet that it's not in a location to make it easier for people of WV to come to than it is for the people of their own stateand as well I'm sure businesses in WV don't make significant profits off the event.
  6. Something needs to be done to force the WVSSAC to have to rotate the supersix every so many years to make it fair to all parts of WV. I think everyone should have the oppurtunity to see the supersix and with the way things are now it seems that noone but the people of Wheeling matter. I'm not a lawyer or anything, but it seems like the cittizens of the state could do something to force the SSAC to have to rotate these games in order to give people in each part of the state a fair chance at attending them.
  7. You may eat those words some day WeirFootball. We all know the only reason that swamp they call a field at Wheeling hosts the supersix is because of money.

Keep in mind the 3 schools that formed Mount View (Welch,Gary,And northfork)were all hated rivals. I know it's been a long time since those schools were open, but for a while the hatred between each other caused alot of the problems, but not all of the problems. Mount View's biggest problem in every sport seems to be lack of discipline and that falls on the coaching. If Jennings Boyd ever had coached at Mount View I believe he could've won several more basketball titles, but MV has never had a coach of his calibur in any sport, and the ones they do have in most cases don't have the respect of the kids playing on the teams. I mean I've seen it several times where a kid will miss practice or a game or even quit the team only to be starting the next week.Once a kid disrespects his teammates by not showing up to practice or a game he should be punished and not rewarded by being allowed to start.
  9. No MV had beat Bluefield the previous year before that as well. I'm not sure if you're aware of the history between Bluefield and Mount View, but the overall series over the years hasn't been onesided. Bluefield has beaten MV about 4-5 times more than MV has beaten them.
  10. My condolences to you and your family.
  11. Keep in mind the Mount View team that beat Bluefield 21-0 had as much talent as Bluefield that year although the record was bad the talent was there and had Isabelle and the others not got on tv and made those comments they made Bluefield probably would've won, because MV wasn't playing to their potential. Most of the MV players on that team were on the team the year before that missed making their 2nd straight AAA championship game by 1 game with a heart breaking loss to wheeling central.
  12. I wasn't referring to the present Pulaski teams as being better than Salem. Bluefield use to play Pulaski when they were nationally ranked for several years in a row.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if Bluefield would beat them. I mean you have to look at other things besides enrollment. Just because a school is bigger than another doesn't always mean they have better athletes. Bluefield has in my opinion probably played better teams in the past than Salem. Pulaski comes to mind as a school that's had better teams in the past.
  14. I'm pretty sure Bluefield would be willing to play them.
  15. You left out a part of the kevin grogg rule lol. If I can beat you like a drum I will but if you beat me like that I'll drop you from my schedule. Bluefield and MV he refuses to play either school in football.
  16. in my opinion qb will be the the biggest question mark on offense for MV, and that's only due to the fact that I don't know who will fill the position. Overall MV lost a 3 or players from skill positions, but still will alot of talent filling those positions. Experience may be a weakness.
  17. It would've been good if MV were to have gotten a half against Richlands or Pulaski. I think MV could match up with either of them athlete wise, but opefully rockbridge and george wythe will put up more of a fight than liberty raleigh has over the past 4 yrs in scrimmages with MV.
  18. 1.Bluefield 2.Weir 3.Herbert Hoover 4.James Monroe 5.Grafton 6.Wayne 7.Poca 8.Tolsia 9.Magnolia 10.Mt. View
  19. Big Creek will have a team this year and most likely will play their home games at Welch on MV's field. If you look at the 2 teams schedules you'll notice that 4 out of 5 of big creeks home games are scheduled on weeks that MV is either open or away, and their home game against Hurley will probably end up being played on a saturday at Welch.
  20. I know all to well about freshmen being good enough to play on the varsity squad. I mean every year MV has 2 to 3 that start. some kids just have so much God given natural talent and instincts for football that you have to play them even if they are freshmen.
  21. I look for MV running back Cordero High to have a big year rshing, and MV receiver/tight end Eric Smith to do the same.
  22. The Principal of Wheeling Park submitted this idea for there to be 25 AAAA,31 AAA,31 AA, and whatever's left in A plan to the SSAC and it was passed on that idea
  23. MV could be a thorn in James Monroe's side with that set up lol
  24. MV will have alot of underclassmen in key positions this year considering most of starters from last year were seniors, but the 1 kid to look for on the field will be cordero high at halfback he will be a junior.
