    Should be the typical GREAT game between two SWVA powerhouses. Doesn't matter how much youth each team has you know both teams will get after it. Good Luck to both teams for a hard played and injury free game.

    Can you give me some information on the Lady Tornado basketball team, record and players to watch? Gate City plays them tonight in Gate City. Gate City is young. 1-10 record and the only win was against a 1-8 team. Average losses are by 20 - 30 points. The one thing about this team ,they never quit for 4 quarters no matter the score. The coach starts a different 5 each time they take the court. Last game against Battle she started 3 freshman. By the end of the game two of the starters never saw the floor in the 4th quarter. Richlands will see a different starting 5, I'm sure. Players to watch: Fr Taylor Evans, So Holly Musick, Fr Autim Richards, Fr. Maria Byrd, Sr. Tia Vermillion. Any information would be appreciated.

    What is the softball record for Richlands and where are they in district standings?

    How about Gate City? Love those games. Always close. GC returns a load of talent for 08.

    I actually heard it after all of these moves were made and went public. This is part of the long range plan for the new district since Graham, Grundy and Tazewell all have enrollements smaller than GC, Lee, and Va High.

    I had heard a rumor that when the VHSL does it's next reclassification that Graham, Grundy, and Tazewell were going to join Gate City, VA High, Lebanon, John Battle, and Lee in the new district. Has anyone else heard this? That would be a great district. Close to the old days of the TRUE Southwest District. If only they would put that district back together. Great games in every sport.
