Im sorry! This is not the best team Hurley has ever had. They have had 2 teams that have made it to the state semifinals and that was in 86 and 92. By far they were better than this years team.

By the way Moorehead is a D1-AA non scholarship school or was at one time. So most NAIA schools are ahead of them. They are in the same conference that jacksonville and austin peay are in and UVA-Wise use to hand them whippins every year. they are still a good football team but not your usual D-1AA team. I do know that Wise always beat jacksonville and austin peay every year. They may be a full scholarship team now. Most NAIA schools are on the same level as most D2 schools.

You say Hurley dont have dicipline.....They are down to 16 players and it is because of dicpline. all those players did not quit. three seniors and starters were kicked off the team because of diciplinary reasons. they should have been kicked off last year but they couldnt afford that because of their playoff season. If they dont win a game this season at least the took care of their diciplinary problems. It says something to kick you best two defensive players off the team,.

I understand waht you are saying and i say the wrestling program does take away from football because its hard to focus on getting stronger and faster when they are expecting you to lose 30 pounds and wrestle 103 weightclass. Im sure Dale Cox is not the only one behind this. You should not blame all this on Dale. But that is wrong if he is doing that. I know for a fact that this does goes on at Grundy. That is a major reason Grundy struggles with football

Is that why Grundy always wanted to pay Hurley to come over there and play instead of at the cliff.....Or they just too good to play at the cliff.....

Every coach on the staff at hurley has had a successful career.

Just for the record Hurley also went 8-2 in 1991 and 1992.

Hurley is a very young team and plus coach has kicked 2 or 3 of his seniors off the team. Its gonna be a long year for the rebels and that is no surprise. They sill have a chance to win some games.

The rebs played without joey may during the motcalm game because of some diciplinary reasons. Coach also kicked josh justus and brandon justus off the team for diciplinary reasons. they are going into the thomas walker game without 3 of their top players and this will b make a difference. Joey May is expected to be back.

Thomas Jones had 3000 yards rushing his junior year and 2500 his senior year. Ed Clark also had bac to back 2000 yard seasons and most of that was in the first half. Melvin Cunningham from Matewan had back to back 2000 yards and so did curt warner

What have you been smoking? Bradshaw before the jones boys. He is good but not on that level yet. Garon marcum and adam davis are not even the best to come out of their schools. Ed Clark from Appalachia was the best football player ever to come out of this area. He is the Jones boys uncle.
