  1. [ QUOTE ] Nope actually Nathan is on the varsity team at William and Mary. I just got done talking to him and over spring break they went to Greece to play. [/ QUOTE ] Wasn't there a younger Belcher at one point? What ever happened to him? I remember seeing him a little bit in the newspaper and stuff when I lived down there...
  2. You can't leave out the Lester boys from Bluefield or players like eric eversol (sp) from blacksburg. I'm sure Bburg has had some great players come through. Kyle Quinlivin (sp) is another name that comes to mind, that Martinsville boy. Yeah, Belcher always played really well got one or two sw district player of the year awards.
  3. Well, it's firing back up today. Who y'all got?
  4. What time is the game? I may try to make it over. And it's where the football team plays, right?
  5. The more I watch North Carolina play this season, the more I respect them. And believe it or not, the one i respect the most is Tyler Hansbrough. I have never seen anyone play so far above their level game in and game out over the course of a 30+ game season. I mean, his every-rebound-is-mine mentality is incredible to watch, and extremely respectable. Also, I feel bad for the cheap shot he took by Henderson a couple of weeks ago that made him wear that stupid mask. But, come on, it's Hansbrough. He's not gonna let his game down. Other than Hansbrough, there's Felton who's fun to watch, Terry who is pure class, and that other really fast point guard who's name slipped me for the moment. Between these guys, it brings speed and a will to win in a classy way to every game. Oh yeah, speaking of class, I forgot to mention Roy Williams. You don't get anyone that represents his team better than this guy. He always has his team ready to play, and seems to understand and respect where they are in relation to the rest of the team. All in all, it's been fun to build this respect for Carolina. Haha, everything bad I've said about them over the course of this season, feel free to bring it up. I deserve to be ragged about it...
  6. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Also, Long Beach State, who has already been mentioned on here, is gonna beat Tennessee and UVA. [/ QUOTE ] THANK YOU Long Beach State U. is a heck of a team. I have been saying all along they will make it to the Sweet Sixteen. I am glad someone finally agrees with me. [/ QUOTE ] Gah, they're a tough one to chose though. They don't start anyone over 6'6". Still, they're fast and furious play will go through Tennessee and UVA. And come on... Long Beach State? They're one of those teams that I would chose because of the desire to go there.
  7. Little background, Champions League match of Valencia out of Spain and Inter Milan out of Italy. Good coverage too. http://youtube.com/watch?v=lxZVs_2gGPQ
  8. Ah man, I so have tournament fever. I can't wait for it to start TOMORROW!! It's gonna be a big day. Gonna be some big upsets, shakeups, close calls, and everything else that goes into making March a time of complete Madness. I saw this quote, which, the more i think about it could happen: When VCU fought back for that incredible win against George Mason last week, I remember thinking to myself, "I love these guys! I hope they go against a team I don't like in Round 1!" Six days later, the Rams are an 11-seed going against Duke. You have to love March Madness. This will be the heart-wrenching loss that causes Josh McRoberts to break down like Dr. Meredith Grey after watching a handsome fireman succumb to third-degree burns. Duke, yeah, they're having a down year. It's not a slim chance by any means that they get put out of the tourney in the first round. I'm gonna be looking for Winthrop to make a splash. They're a really solid mid major that is just waiting to stir up some dust in the tournament. Also, Long Beach State, who has already been mentioned on here, is gonna beat Tennessee and UVA. Although I can't guarantee you on these picks, I can guarantee you one thing: It's gonna be a GREAT March.
  9. [ QUOTE ] well beano i agree but i hurted u got a dude coming from bluefield collage and helping u is he just helping varsity or jv to hopefully we will do good jv and varsity GO Luck Blues. [/ QUOTE ] What the hell is wrong with you?
  10. [ QUOTE ] Please people, can we just have one thread where there is not a WVU discussion. Half the people on the board think they should be in, half think they shouldn't, just get over it. They aren't it, don't worry about it. [/ QUOTE ] Dude, I don't know if you noticed, but this is a discussion board from the Southwest Virginia area, and schools that influence the area will be talked about a little more, hence the more discussion about WVU, Tech, and a little UVA.
  11. Can we get the link to that article? Thanks
  12. Oh snap... Graham has just been called out!! When was the last time Richlands beat Graham?
  13. Exactly. More time to do more of the same. Gah, what an epic dunk. Apparently so epic that it gets Final Countdown played with it. Hahaha.
  14. You always have to bring [censored] like that up, don't you? First it's MV1/MV2 and now it's Bradshaw... just quit.
  15. Hahaha, that would be fun, wouldn't it? Like Giles High School. Get their playbook in there!! Also sorta like something that Arkansas did last year with Darren McFadden and that other pretty decent running back.
  16. That sucks.... I think I would "grimace in pain" too if I dislocated my knee.
  17. Haha, good call dcecilgolf. I appreciate the enthusiasm though rvtne113.
  18. More and more keep coming up. Atlanta Braves. 14 straight Division Titles from 1991 to 2005. That's dominance.
  19. Yeah, good point. no. 1 seeds need to be Wisconsin, OSU, Florida, and UCLA. Give UNC a no. 2 seed though, they're definitely good enough. I'm just excited that Tech is doing this well this far into the season. Again, it's ours to lose now.
  20. Hahaha, it could be a "learn what not to do" situation, but I think it would be better if he was given a year to sit. Too much pressure already, and it wouldn't do him any good to have to take it right now, especially when he's not ready for it.
  21. Where did you see that? I'm tryin to find it on the internet, but it's not working out too well. Thanks bud.
  22. Exactly, it's Tech's to lose at this point. Let's say they beat UVA. Then they have a Clemson team that started the season 17-0. What does that mean? That means that the boys can play. That also means that they don't have much to lose at this point, and what better way to make a statement than to take out the team atop the standings... But, all that needs to be said after the game on Thursday night. Go Hokies.
  23. No way. He needs to get bigger, more mature, and a sense for the system Tech runs. He also needs to get a handle on the expectations that are going to be on him and be able to deal with those. Most of all, he needs to learn from those older than him and not have to rely on game experience to mature.
