Can anyone tell me anything/everything about the Matewan Tigers other than they're 5-1?

I can't even stand to watch that clip anymore. Now I'm from Tennessee, so when I go to a game and see the officials AREN"T complete idiots, I'm shocked. But thats a bogus call, even by Tennessee standards... The ref who threw that flag is chicken shit. I can't think of anything to call him but pure chicken shit.

Castlewood will win the Cumberland title, they are div. 1 so they also get a berth in the Reg. D-D1 playoffs. So there are three wildcard spots in Region D, Div. 2 playoffs and 2 are left for Region D, Div. 1. Those spots will go the teams who have the highest power ranking. I feel sorry for you guys cause youhave to play in that mess... Why make it so complacated?... In TN, (in football) there are 5 classifacations, 1A-5A. Each classifacation is divided into 8 regions. At the end of the regulare season, the top 4 teams from each region makes the play-offs. Its that simple. Why is is so complacated up there?

And about kicking players off your teams, if he is a ditraction, and will be detramentel to the development of your team, the coach has every right to get rid of him. If a coach dosen't get rid of all the rif-raft, he will NEVER have control over his team... Say, we had problems with some players last year, and it boiled to a head on the way to play Hurley. The next week, we had three or four players gone, including our starting QB and FB. We struggled for a few weeks, but later in the season we recovored to play the 7th ranked team, and only be down 6-0 halfway through the 4th quarter...

Is there anyone on here old enough, or close enough to the program at Mount Hope to remember Geno Martina??? He played at Mount Hope in the early to mid 30's. He played at end, and he was All-State his senior year... Does that ring a bell with anyone???

Last October we played in War, WV, were the story took place, then in March our girls basketball team had a sub-state game in Oliver Springs, TN, were city were the movie was shot...
