I dont know what you have against Pocahontas but I think this team is doing an excellent job and the coaches as well. 5 or 6 wins in the past two years is considerably better than the two years before so I think you should be giving credit the the players and coaches down there.

From a players view-Mt. View had the worst facilities. It was so bad after we played down there one year we didn't even shower there because it was so nasty-also Carrol County. I figured out that if you go to to Carrol County and put up near 500 yards rushing on their team the fans like to cuss, spit, and throw drinks on you as you head back to the locker room. From a fans view I would have to say Richlands has the worst facilities at least for visiting teams-awful stands gotta walk a mile to get something good to eat and use the bathroom.

No need to panic just yet. I was part of the 98 team that started out 0-3 and i think we had about 20 total points in those first three games. Carlock finally straightened us out and we ended up second in the district, won regionals against Lebanon and made it all the way to the state semi's before getting beat.

Dong' take to much from middle school games. I remember loosing to Tazewell every year in middle school then when high school came around we won every regular season game.

I don't know if I would put Abingdon in front of Graham. Abingdon lost over the weekend to Chillhowie....could be a long year for them.

I hate to talk bad about the boy but I think he may have been better off staying at Graham....may not have had a good of a chance as with Beaver to make state but he may have seen more playing time.

Kinda looking for a third party opinion who saw Richlands, Bluefield, and Graham play yesterday. I heard that Graham looked better than expected yesterday. Just kinda curious if they gotta chance at SWD title and do you think they got a good chance of beating beaver next week? Go G-Men!

Did they really put up a blue fence around the field?

If I recall correctly Mitchell Stadium was suppose to be finshed by august 15 does anybody know if it is going to be finished today or what? Guess it def. has to be done before the gridarama this weekend.

Last I had heard was that they (School Board) were considering cutting one to two supplements at the beginning of the year but I haven't heard anything else. This was considered because it was mentioned by Richlands head coach Greg Mance. Mance pretty much said that Pocahontas did not deserve to have as many coaching supplements as them....one because they were a small school and two because they were not the defending state champs. I know for a fact that Mance even approached Pocahontas about hiring one of Richlands coaches and Pocahontas High would pay that coach and that coach would only coach at Richlands. That offer was quickly turned down. I hate to sound like a Richlands basher but they have 11 coaches this year....dont' know why they need 11. Seems like they have become a little demanding since winning state.

In my opinion the best backfield ever at graham was: Tony Easley FB Brandon Banks FB Milton Byard and throw in Jacob Dellorso as a fourth.....of course that combo of Graves, Gunter, and Brewster was pretty good as well haha

maybe if I would have been more consistent I could have made punter for the list haha

I don't know now that I think of it I may have to change the QB position to Jay Gray!
