It wasn't the blowout most people estimated, but give GW credit, their defense was absolutely phenomenal in the 2nd half. The Tigers hurt themselves with the early turnovers, but hell, nothing to be ashamed of. One hell of a year! It was a great ride for this 1987 Honaker graduate.

Clocks not on our side...GW defense has really stiffened up in the 2nd half. Tigers can't get anything going.

Yeah, I bet! I can't believe it's blocked overseas. I dang near took a C-17 hop into Andrews AFB earlier this week to make it to the game, but flying space available is really hit and miss. I didn't want to get stuck in the states trying to get back here.

Actually, I feel Honaker should be up. Threw an interception in the end zone, then fumbled, which led to GW's FG. It could be more like a 13-0, 17-0 or 17-7 Tiger lead. It is what it is, and that's a new ballgame starting the 3rd. Second half should be good. Tigers just need to keep the intensity up on defense and watch the middle.

Unbelievable! I did not get to listen or follow the game this week due to my Air Force unit's Christmas Party. Without knowing the score, I just went through each thread from the beginning. At first my jaw dropped when we went down big early and my heart was beating faster as I kept reading. What an effort by the Tigers and as someone mentioned in an earlier post, I'd love to have heard what Coach Hubbard said at halftime! Great job Honaker Tigers. You'd better believe I'll be listening next Saturday from here in Germany!

I went to school with Martin's dad (Johnny). He was a great football player for Honaker, Class of '85. Kids seems to be smart, just like his father (a lawyer).

IMO, Louisville is an all-around better athletic school than Maryland, just no where near academically though.

Congrats Tigers...17-0! However, will need to pick up the intensity next week. Dye did a nice job replacing Ty, but will need everyone full strength against Sussex Central.
