I hate the fact that Lester got hurt cause I've meet him and he is a fine athelete and I never want to see any players get hurt, but I believe he was wearing down before he got hurt and we were gaining momentum. The linebackers were biting on the 6 hole and the lateral was working for more yards.

I'm not blowing anyone player up they played as a team and they won as a team. But if you were at the game and knew that #5 was hurt and #22 carried the load in the 4th quarter you would understand my post. You obviously know who I am so if you would like to discuss the matter further I ain't hard to find! JUST STAY HOME SICK AND THE BOYS DO THEIR THING.

First of all you were right #5 played a great game(hurt), second the change from power to speed backs kept them off balance, third Giles will be just fine and fourth IMO giles will win the TRD (three rivers district). They have confidence and something to play for now.

So you're saying Giles is'nt that good? Correct me if I'm wrong but did'nt GW move Drew all over the line trying to stop the giles rushing attack? IMO I don't think they had anybody that could stop Robertson(#22) inthe 4th quarter.

As I stated before they seemed as if they were just going thru the motions. No enthusiasm what so ever. Don't understand there mind set, but if they are to get the job done they'll have to work hard and want to play.

I heard from a team member he got hit in the kidney area and was very sore the next day. Hope he's ok cause he's a very good athelete and christiansburgs season depends alot on his performance.

I think it could go either way, but I don't believe they will beat Pulaski or Gretna. I see a 6-4 season at best.

Are there two brothers playing on varsity this year for giles? I seem to remember a Robertson on JV last year. I know there are 5 of them boys total.

Any one who gets a scholarship to play football at a level above Division II, I consider a D1 player. This A AA stuff is just to classify the bigger schools. Sounds like the posts suggest that he is a mediocur player that just could,nt make it to the big show at VT or UVA. SAD VERY SAD!

Who will be king of the roost this year, will it be Radford with their tough schedule, Floyd with their 7 returning state runner-up players or Giles with their D-1 anchored OFF AND DEF Line. Give me your take and why?:cool:

With the new divisions that are supposedily coming what a better time for a consolidation than now! Just got thru adding up the total number of students of giles and narrows and they would still be a division 2 "a" school. With the rich tradition and athelete's at these two schools they would be unstoppable in all sports.(imo) anybody else out there agree or disagree?

It all starts at the youth level. When they participate and have fun they will return and be eager to learn. Your jv and varsity players need to take time to go talk to these kids for they are the ones they look up to. Good examples must be set by them. Most of these kids in small rural areas are dedicated individuals that will put forth hard work and dedication to the cause. Trust your coaches and embrace them. With the communities support they will achieve!

floyd played a extremely good game . the harris kid ran for 250+. you can't miss tackles and make mistakes and expect to win. 2 unsportsman like penalties did'nt help matters any. If the cards fall into place we may see them again but if not GO BUFFS ALL THE WAY TO THE STATE TITLE.
