southboud, were you at richlands this past week. didn't they struggle with pv and lose to gc? what was the score against your mighty falcons?

Im not sure the best as of now but it will be richlands by week 8. Mance gets the best out of his group at the end of every year..

cavity - now that you have ask so nicely i feel i should let you know. i played at clintwood and won a state title and was a 2-way starter. i now live in washington county but stll drive over and watch clintwood a few times a year. honestly i go to wherever the big game is on fridays. needless to say i didn't watch the pitiful game this past weekend because i knew it wasn't going to be worth the drive. now that we are pointing fingers i bet you are trying to live your glory moments thru going to games on friday telling stories about how good you use to be a never scored a touchdown. maybe you did score in the 4th when all the subs were in..i am not looking for an arguement i am just stating facts.

talk about smoking!!! Revolutionized and Holston don't even belong in the same sentence. enjoy this one season because that's it. Preacher is right "weakest region in the state but as long as Clintwood, Burton and teams like that belong - Holston will never play for a state title. Maybe you guy's can get one of those middle school coaches from Richlands.

I have to agree with cowboy for the first time. If VA High wants Matlock he is gone. He would be crazy not to go where the talent (year in and year out is much better at v high. holston had a great year but look at the big picture (coaches sitting in the coaches office trying to figure out what 3 games can we compete in) no different than ph,battle,or twin valley. it's easy to put stick men on a chalk board and talk about what they should be able to do but after a few games you realize they can't. atleast at v-high or abingdon you have a chance and the bottom line is those stick men are just better football players.

I scouted them 3 times this year and they may be the best in SWVA..I heard the battle job is coming open..Candidates are a host of PH coaches and former coach Johnson. He did a fine job with what he had at PH. It could also be time for Blankenship to get his first gig.. He won a state title at Richlands and was a heck of a linebacker. He plays and coaches with a lot of heart.. I wish T. Berk would make another run at Battle. He has the best fake punt I have ever seen on the gridiron and no doubt he has the guts to call it...

cowboy is all over Holston?? Let them enjoy it man!!! They might have a program as strong as Richlands in a few years. If Abington can't start winning all those young kids will enroll at Holston. Maybe Holston will offer Crigger the job. I can see things happening wherever Tommy ends up. If he keeps winning a game or 2 at Twin Valley that will speak volumes on his resume..

it's amazing what tom did with that bunch at twin valley this year....i can see him landing a big time job in this area in the near future. drawing plays in the dirt days are over at twin valley...he had those kids in some games this year.
