Any thoughts? Predictions? Will the Blues shine alittle brighter this week after a not so good performance last week at Honaker? Not real sure what we really have but im going to predict Richlands 21 Gate City 16.

Richlands nor Honaker looked good last week. Considering Richlands won 30-2, we looked alittle better but not near as good as I thought we would. If the Blues can come together and get on the same page they will be ok, just alot of new faces and the lack of athletic ability at WR we are so used to seeing.

This team will have to gel quick or we r looking at a long first 5 games. Didn't look like the typical blues team we have been used to for the last 10 years or so. A lot of work to be done. I agree not a lot of speed or the big play threat on the outside. On the other side I seen some bright things, defense played well and staten runs hard. If the guys work hard and come together we will be ok but until then it's going to be tough. Based just on the game last night don't see us getting through union,bluefield and maybe graham. I'm the biggest blues fan out there just stating what I seen.

At Honaker?

I figure you might see a half with starters. Mance has been know to play that game to win but will be surprised if you see the QB and RB the entire game.

Im the biggest Blues fan out there but I don't feel very confident about this one. With the loss of Baker and AJ it may be too much to overcome. If you look against PC if those 2 were out it was probably a blow out in favor of PC and remember CS beat PC this year. Hope Im wrong but not sure we have what it takes to beat CS this year.

Im a Richlands fan and in my heart Richlands will beat CS but my head says I don't know. We have lost our two weapons on O-Baker and Johnson. Richlands I think has to play there perfect game this time around to beat CS. One reason I say this look back to the PC game, if it wasnt for our passing with Baker that game was over long before it was. Now that we have lost Baker and Johnson, IDK. Sorry my honest opinion.

Sorry not with ya on this one, I personally don't think that Brown needs to be the QB. To me he is not a good QB and Baker is much much better than him at QB.

Before Baker got hurt I would say this game was a blowout, now I see this game possibly closer than everyone thinks. Since Baker we don't have the explosive ability on offense, just grind it out and play good defense (more of a 3yd and cloud of dust deal), but hey a W is a W.

Not now with the QB situation.

I read in another thread that Baker had a concussion?????? He looked as if he was walking around pretty on the sideline to me last night, no crutches and moving pretty fluid. Seems to me if it was tore he would be at least on crutches.

Does it matter not like its a secret............ Did it happen the weak before when he got hurt against Honaker? If so, didn't look that bad considering he played fine last week.

Richlands has got to get these pens turned around. Its the same week in and week out, were not getting better. After 4 weeks I think we have over 500 yds in pens ( that has got to be a record). When you play a good team (PC) your not going to win with these silly mistakes. Guys that took 7 off the board and ended up punting, right there alone you got 28-24. Hats off to PC we did not match up on the line and I think that is where the game was won. We have a good football team if we can cut out the mistakes. As long as we get our stuff together I don't see a team as good as PC until the semi-final (probably Brookville). If we keep committing those mistakes we will not make it to that point. Pens is basically what is beating Richlands right now.

Yep. Their type of offense is what scares me, we have a hard time stopping it. I think for us to win we got to match scores and not get behind and steal a couple of turnovers. We need to keep there D on the field, long drives ending in TDs

Thats why we love the coaching staff we have. From what I have been hearing your QB for Richlands will be a kid this is on the 8th grade team now. Keep hearing he is a great QB and probably will be your starter as a 10th grader when Baker graduates.

Just saying that I thought our offense looked very sluggish and alot of mistakes, thought we looked better against Union. Yes I thought Baker played well, just needs to secure the ball when running. Anytime you throw for 160yds and 4 TDs its been a good night..............he would have had more than that if we hadn't dropped passes, but hey thats part of football and something we need to work on. I just think all the flags is what is throwing us off...........can never get in rythme

I think everyone would agree that Richlands is alittle down this year (young) compared to the resent history. At this point im not sure any of us know just how good we are yet but we know we have a good solid football team. We got a young team (which shows with the pens and turnovers). IF you notice most of our fumbles are when a WR,QB has the ball and 3 people on him fighting for extra yds..........just go down and play the next down.Every year Richlands has a game in which they look as if they have come together and we roll from there out. Usually it is around week 4 and I hope that history repeats itself. I feel we took a step backwards at Graham last week - offense anyway. If I worked on anything this week to get ready it would be---------hang on to the football, play smart (no pens) and execute the game plan. I felt we just looked very sluggish last week. As for the defense don't over commit and watch for the sneaky playaction. Something we don't do and I would like to see is when we are on defense try to strip the FOOTBALL.

The thing with Pulaski is I think we are going to have to match scores with these guys, TD for TD, don't see keeping them out of the endzone. Not saying they will score every drive but they will score, they have a heckuva line. Richlands may be better served slowing the game down, keeping the clock running and mixing in some playaction. May have to revert to 3yds and a cloud of dust, dunno. Can't go 3 and out in a minute, need long methodical drives with a TD. Stats against PH showed all running and very very few penalties, pulaski is a well disciplined football team that don't have alot of mistakes. The key for Richlands is few mistakes, no turnovers, get the defense off the field and keep a level head and I think you got yourself a ball game.

If we continue to play sluggish, with fumbles,dropped TD passes, and penalites it could be a long night for the Blues. Get all that worked out and you got yourself a ball game. One thing for sure we have to play better than we have played all year to get the win. Richlands could be the underdogs this week but thats how I like it. Penalties is gonna cost both Richlands and Graham in the future if they don't get it fixed. Personally I thought that was the worst that we have looked on offense this year, looked 10 times better last week. We looked very sluggish, dropped several passes (TD passes at that), fumbles,penalites............This seaon especially last night Richlands beats themselves............like Mance said after the game, can't keep leaving points on the field it will catch up to you real quick (hence Pulaski)..............I feel the last 2 weeks we have left a total of 28 points on the board.
