After watching Graham at the Concord scrimmage and then last night, I can tell you one thing for sure: Richlands better tighten up their chin straps because they will not get hit any harder the rest of the year. I'm a Tazewell fan and the game was closer than the score leads you to believe. But I haven't seen hitting like that in a long while. It reminded me of Shane Wicks (sp?) and Cody Thomas. Graham will absolutely lay the wood to you.

I'm sick of listining to your negativity!!!!!!!!! Bobby Wyatt destroyed what program we had. It's going to take time to rebuild. These kids have not given up yet no matter how bad they've gotten beat. They are doing the best they can. So if you can't encourage these kids, keep your comments to yourself!!!!!!

You've got to be kidding!!!! Richlands is loaded and the only team that will give them a game on this end of the state is Cave Springs. By half time Richlands will be up by 40+ points and their 2nd team and jv will finish the game. By the way, I'm not from Richlands, just someone reading the thread and couldn't believe the smack you're talking!!

That's true. I watched the match in person and Dotson ran low on gas and Rife ran out of gas on the second period. Rife man handled the CB kid until the 3rd period and if there had been about 30 seconds more, he would have lost.

How stupid are you??????????? I post a comment about kids needing to be more humble and let others brag on them instead of bragging on themselves, about not downing their team mates and basically acting like they have some sense and you take the conversation somewhere entirely different. It had nothing to do with your family------unless one of those kids I was talking about was yours!!!!! And if they were, I see where they got it from!!!!

I may not win a game but you can bet the kids would be taught respect, disicipline, honor and humility, so I don't need your smart@#$ comments. Winning is not everything, teaching young men to be MEN is more important!! As for the title of the thread- "best player in the southwest district next year---you can't be the best player if you're not a starter and some of these kids need a BIG dose of humility!!!! Quit bragging on yourself and let others do it. If you have to brag on yourself you're not much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's funny how all of you all are picking the starting players now. It's a long time before seasons starts and a lot can happen between now and then. You need to quit downing your team mates and do your talking on the field and earn your position!!!!!!!!!! You better be glad I'm not your coach, some of you would be in my office for the posts you're putting up.

If you don't see anyone beating Hess except Cox, you need to clean your glasses. Hess has already been beaten by McReynolds (Taz), Justice (Grundy) and Willard (CC). That's 3 losses within the District that I know of.

Wonder what it takes to get kids interested in wrestling at Tazewell??

I hear that Hunter Cox from Abingdon will be the one to beat for districts. Don't know what weight he's wrestling though, I've heard everything from 152 to 171. I haven't seen anything on how Abingdon has been doing, does anybody know?

I agree with ya. Who ever kooper is, sounds like he's jealous to me. Parnell is a pretty good football player who was not given a chance because Wyatt showed favoritism to several kids. I watched several practices, scrimmages and all the games and certain kids could make a mistake and were taken out of the game almost immediately and other kids could make the same mistakes over and over and nothing was done. Kids were not given an opertunity to EARN a starting position during practice, positions were GIVEN out instead of EARNED (for the most part). That's part of the reason Tazewell couldn't beat Richlands, because Wyatt played favoritism instead of talent and the other reason is that Mance is a much better coach.
