Good lord, I hope it's just a rumor.

I guess there's not a lot to say, most non-Richlands people think that we don't stand a chance, and most of us Richlands fans think we do..........about sums it up don't it.....lol

I think more would have mentioned Mike Compton..... I know I would have except the original question was about players on championship teams before 2000, that's the reason I didn't mention him. Although I think it is starting to morph into best player without.... lol

Even some of us old farts.......LOL ! T. Monk was a fantastic QB also. Doesn't get as much love as Brandon and a couple of other, but he really captained the ship. He wasn't flashy, but just did everything well and didn't make mistakes and turn the ball over. I was much older than he was but he was a good friend of me and my wife and I still miss him. Died way to young !

I say we leave the kid alone now. He's paying a high price for what he did/didn't do so that's it. No need to keep talking about it. he is a high school kid, granted not for much longer , but for now he is. Richlands will play with what they have and no excuses for whatever outcome happens.

From the Richlands 92 team I would also have to put Brandon Breeding, one heck of a runner. He could make you miss, but prefered to run over you.

Yea, the blues will have to play as near perfect a game as they can, and it still may not be enough, but strange things have and do happen and the ball takes some funny bounces at times so you just never know ! The blues can just relax and throw everything and the kitchen sink at them this week and see what happens. As a big blue fan I just can't make myself say that we have no chance because I believe in and love these kids and coaches, I am so proud of the season they have had. Win or lose, it's been a fantastic season and they can hold their heads up high and remember this year for the rest of their lives ! Thanks to the fans of other teams on here that have shown support for us !!

Can't have 4 turnovers in one half, especially the 2nd half and expect to win this late in the season or any other time of the season

Playing a better team this week

They may very well play next week, but it sounds to me they are putting the cart before the horse ! They have a tough game today first !

Hollar a little extra louder for me today Ryan ! Not able to go, come down with what may be the flu or some kind of crud. Wife has had it, mother has had it so I guess it's my turn. Sure hate I couldn't go out there for this game but I'll be listening on the radio and my heart is out there with the fans and team ! Everyone traveling today please have a safe trip to and from the games and good luck to all the teams from our area ( far southwest Virginia ) and I pray for injury free games for all today !

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, it's great to see that most in our area are pulling for our guys to pull out a win ! We all may want to beat the fire out of each other when we play each other, but in the end we all want our little part of the state to end up on top ! I haven't seen this year's version of Appo, but they are basically a year older version of last year's team that may be even better & faster, not sure about that since I haven't seen them this year myself but that's what I have been hearing. It will take a special team and effort to beat them. No team is unbeatable, but they are well coached and full of speed and athletes and play hard. Everything you have probably heard and read about them. They deserve the accolades they are getting right now. But of course as a Richlands fan I think we would have a chance against them. I just believe in coach Mance and his staff...... Plus I wouldn't be much of a fan if I didn't think we at least had a chance against them. But it will take a special effort. But I am more concerned about SD right now and hope our players are too!

Well olebluedev they didn't have them win them all, they did have the 2010 blues team winning by 1..... 31 to 30.....lol

Hey, I am one Blues fan that will not take up arms against you because you, as everyone else, has a right to their opinion, and also I don't think most of the Richlands fans are under any illusions as to how good Appo is. We played them there last year and got a first hand view of how good they are/can be and the fact they have basically the same team back and those same players would be 1 year older, stronger and probably even faster, I think we have a pretty good idea of what we have waiting on us..........IF we get past this next game, that has to be our focus right now. Stuarts Draft is next and will be a tough game, but I think we have a pretty good shot at getting past them. But we have seen in the past that at this point in the playoffs everyone has earned their right to be here and has a chance to win their game. The Blues will have to play their best and stay focused on this week's game or they could find themselves home and not having a chance to play Appo again. I'll take my chances with a Mance coached team any day and he always gives us a least a chance to beat any body at any time. The Blues seem to be peaking at the right time, I just hope they don't get ahead of themselves and look past this week's game, I don't think Mance will let that happen, but they are still high school kids and you just never know. Congrats to Union and Graham on fantastic seasons, both of you have a lot to be proud of, and I look forward to our games against both great programs next year !
