Who won?

From my understanding after talking with a Lebanon guy in the know, they are not trying to avoid the Tazewell County schools. They want to stay where they are.

That is right. When I first saw it I thought it was a new district lineup.

Making it the 4th or 5th game would not hurt and both would have some games in. I just dont think district games should be played in week one.

Now that it may mean something more than bragging rights it needs to be moved later in the year. Why play what could be one of the most important games of the year at the start of the season? I can see playing it first now since they are in seperate divisions and it is a good game to gauge what kind of season is coming for them.

RHS and GC back in the same district again makes the football rivalry more intense! Just hope the game is moved to later in the season now.

The CD did vote in favor for Coeburn but the vhsl did try to put Ervinton in the BDD and EHS appealed to stay in the CD. Burton tried to join the CD a year or two ago but was denied.

With these changes does that mean there will no longer be a Region D in all sports now but just the East and the West like Single A football this past season?

JIB tried to join the CD a year or two ago but was turned down.

I like the idea of Marion in the CMD but since the Hogo had turned them down why would they not try for the MED now?

GC would rather travel across the state for district games than to rejoin the LPD.

Can call it the Slop Bucket District for all I care. I just like the mebership of it so far.

If Lebanon wants to leave then let them join the LPD. They already play Union and Clintwood. They also scrimmage Norton and I think Central.

I could see Lee going but not GC. That is unless they are forced to and that can happen. I dont see all double a districts either. I can even see the CD disolving and dispersed in the BDD, LPD, and CMD. Cant wait to see it all when its finished.

GC and the powers that be in the LPD dont mix well. When the CMD was formed GC jumped at the chance.

It did in the Region Finals. CW ended up going on the road instead of hosting.

Gate City will fight to stay out of the LPD.

I hope he dont go to Union. lol. Be glad to have him back at GC. Just never understood why we had him on Offense at GC.

I have been seeing him at every Gate City Home game watching from the fence at the endzone next to the field house. So I feel the romor is just that, a rumor.
