Talk about the teams a school schedules. Look at Thomas Walkers schedule they played all six teams in their district plus four division 2 teams. I don't think their schedule is watered down. Powell valley is in the play-offs and went 5-5 but the teams they played won more games than the teams anyone else played.

Actually the Lee County enrollment is over 1000. O excuse me you must mean Lee High's enrollment is 712. There are two schools in Lee County one named Lee High School and the other is Thomas Walker High School. There is no school in the state of Virginia that has or goes by the name Lee County High School.

Hurley and Appy had their chances just like everyone else did. How about St Paul or Honaker or Va High? The rules were simple win your district and you are in the play-offs. Don't win your district you better out point someone else. If anything needs to be done V$HL needs to look at the districts and place teams according to size. No mixing of D1 & D2!! etc.

That is the real problem with most kids and young adults today. They have not learned responsibaility. It all starts at home. Maybe some parents and adults have not learned it either.

Sorry to hear about Coach Newberry. Best wishes to his family. They will be in my thoughts and prayers.
