Clintwood will be a different Team for sure, I believe they will make people believers by seasons end. Five players on offence started in the 2011 Championship game, yes we have lost a lot of speed but the leadership will be there. Also you must consider the level of talent this group has been going against in practive the last few years, they will have Pride. Union will be a great Team to open the season with, look for both these squads to go deep into the playoffs.

Clintwood 10 Grundy 6. Playing Grundy is always fun, they have good kid's and are always good sportman, good Coaching and leadership on that Team. Look foward to going over there and playing them again next Thursday. Clintwood looked good, had some defensive errors but stayed focused and played the game. So Happy it is Baseball Season, now we just need some Baseball weather!!!!!!!!!

Clintwood has a chance to be the final LPD Baseball Champion. If everyone that played last year returns they will have 7 pitchers. They lost just one player to graduation, and last year they were just one win from playing in the State Final. Coach Stanley is back and really got to know his players and that should help him with player positiong. Looking forward to a Good Spring!! 24 days untill Teams can start practicing, can't wait.....love baseball. What do your Teams have and who are the preseason favorites in all the divisions? Clintwood should have a good shot, they return a lot and were just one game away from the finals last season. I don't know many Holston and Galax players are returning from last seasons Teams, they were both strong.

Yes it still hurts some, but it helps a lot...for me anyway that GW will be in the State Game and have a good chance of winning the Title. What makes me happy at this point is the fact that two Teams from the West will being playng for the Title, you have to have speed to be a contender, but Team play, strength, and power are still the main ingredients to being a good Football Team. Good job Maroon's and Tigers!

Last years game was very physical, three Clintwood players were injured......needless to say those players are excited about the rematch! It's gonna be a great game!

If G.W. and Honaker go down than Clintwood will be the highest seed TEAM in the west and would host a quarterfinal game.

Union will win, playing good physical football and totally buying in to Coach Turners game plan.

Negative talk will come..............but not from any of the players. Wave are now 0-0 and on the same playoff schedule as last season and this year its not about a Dream, this year its about getting the job done and so far they have, #2 is going to take a snap in the State game or we will change the birth rate in China!
