I wouldn't give that much credit, but thanks for the love, champ!!!!! I haven't seen Union play, but did listen to yalls game with em ... I would have guess Union bein about 2 TDs better than Honaker!

I would say Honaker is a solid D1 team. They lost to Clintwood 28-14 in a benefit game (if ya wanna count that). They have beaten Lebanon (31-14), Castlewood (29-8) who just beat Central, Eastside (17-14, on a FG at the buzzer to win), and Patrick Henry (42-14). They have a pretty balanced offense (decent QB), but are more of run-based team as usual (couple of good backs). I hate sayin this, but will Richlands have trouble with them? Probably NOT!!!! Go ahead and look over us and concentrate on your next one after us!!! lol Tigers play Twin Valley tomorrow night in Oakwood, they could be a threat for an upset, who know in this game!

IMHO Lebanon would have to have really improved alot to beat Clintwood. The Wave losses have came to some tough competition, esp Grayson who will be in the hunt for a deep playoff run most likely. I know Lebanon played Union tough, it seems it depends on which team shows up for the Pioneers. I think CWood brings the Wood to Lebanon Friday night and starts gettin things back on track. Wouldn't shock me if the Wave win by 2TD's. But as always, hope the Russell County boys give em a run for their money! Good luck to both teams!!!

Marion did talley what, 31 pts against a pretty decent RR team last week while allowing 46, so they may not stop Graham but can their offense keep pace with the G-Men's? I think it may turn out to be a shootout of sorts, I picked Marion for this one in the Pick em but maybe I shoulda went with Graham in a close one!

I do like watchin those mud bowls..i wont lie.. but Honaker and Richlands do have nice fields!!! Just wonderin ... When did they start playin all the state championships on turf fields every year? I never understood all these teams used to play on grass and mud all season (most still do) and then ya go and stick em on a turf field for the championsip games ... seems that takes the teams from one element and sticks em on another when it counted the most!

It was the Graham game I was listening to some of that one... onside kick with a 31-0 lead..... i agree Richlands could have made it alot worse and did mess around just from the sound of it, so maybe they were just practicing their onside kick in a game situation ey? Or maybe his foot mishit the ball and it was an accident but that's no what downtown ron brown said... lol I dnt think they scored on that ... like u said i think they did mess around quite a bit!

Funny ... I don't remember that one ... lol.... It got em up for that ONE!!! I know theyve done and lost and then it was back to the same ole thing.... I've often been a critic of Honaker comin out flat so it's nice when they come out with some emotion!!!!!!!

Is PH any better than the last few years?? .... There were some injuries for Honaker during the Eastside game and one was Jerod Honaker (RB), that's a huge injury IMO ... is he playing this week or is Doug givin him the week off to heal? anyone? May be closer depending on injuries. Ya never know... NEVER look over any team on the schedule!!!!!!

I could be wrong but I think you're right, may have been the year that Haysi went 9-1 and missed the playoffs because of that game... im not 100% positive on that, but whenever it was.. it was pretty cool~!

It's been a few years now, but I remember a game with Haysi that Honaker did somethin different. They came out and they just had the paper run thru and somebody just slowly ripped it and the team just walked across the field from the fieldhouse with a cocky strut, like a bunch ticked off boys that had somethin to prove, nothin crazy but it pumped everyone up to see they meant business, they went on to thump Haysi that night!!!!!

Agree with you in some cases it's to look big and some people just plain have big mouths!!!! I do think there instances out there that because of who a kid's parents are plays a political role in that kid playing over say someone who may be slightly better than them. It's small town politics over playing ball, C'mon man and it really grinds my gears!!! The coach needs to have control of his team and only the coach and if he doesn't and that name game comes in to play I'm sure it's very frustrating for parents, but in NO WAY SHOULD THE PARENT EVER JUMP ON A COACH OR TEACHER, it's rediculous and makes them look like a fool and only really hurts their kid in the long run!!! IMO anyway!
