beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted March 5, 2005 I guess this is going to be the beginning of the big storm. Stan Sweet (lol) said that this storm is going to be bigger then last weeks storm. Thats gonna be alot of snow
GMan 3,569 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2005 Stan is an idiot! We aren't going to get any significant snow from this storm...40s on Sunday, upper 50s and rain on Monday, rain/snow showers Tuesday & Wednesday with temps in the lower 40s, rain/snow showers Thursday & Friday with temps in the upper 30s. Â Too wet and too warm for snow accumulation...
beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted March 5, 2005 Yea thats what im saying. I just looked at the forecast and the only snow we might get is flurries or snow showers on tuesday! LOL

hhstigerfan 12 Report Share Posted March 6, 2005 You guys need to try to get switched to WCYB. Johnny Wood is the best damn weather man ever was! I used to get WVVA on my cable service, they SUCK!
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted March 6, 2005 I watch WVVA because the news is more relevant to my area. I get my weather reports online anyway. Stan Sweet is a trip though.

BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted March 7, 2005 "Before joining the NewsChannel 6 team, Stan Sweet had enjoyed a successful career in television and show business. After a stint as an announcer for WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia, Stan spent 22 years in Los Angeles, California working as an announcer in L.A. and doing national commercials and television programs. Returning east, he spent 4½ years as chief weathercaster for WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia and then 8 years as weather director at WVVA.  Stan may be best known for his accomplishments in an unusual sport. Able to draw and accurately shoot a pistol in scant fractions of a second, Stan has several times held the title of World Fast-Draw Champion.  In 1995, Stan decided to go into "semi-retirement" so he could spend more time with his wife, Silvi, a concert pianist. He still lends his talents to the NewsChannel 6 Weekend Report, serving as our weathercaster."
