dodgerwv 10 Report Share Posted October 16, 2005 It's not a real strong schedule by any means, but I can't imagine an 8-2 team not making the Class A playoffs. Should have just enough points to squeak in. If Montcalm beats Twin Valley and Greater Beckley, I'd figure them for somewhere around a 14 or 15 seed. Could be an ugly playoff game if they draw a Williamstown or Wheeling Central. Still would be an incredible accomplishment for such a small school with little to no tradition in football. Do the upper tier A teams play up in schedule to the point that they amass more points? It just seems odd that an 8-2 team would be barely making the playoffs considering there is no automatic bids. GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted October 16, 2005 In WV, you get 12 points for wins over AAA, 9 points for wins over AA, and 6 points for wins over A schools. Plus you get one point for every victory a defeated team has against a school in its class or higher. In Montcalm's case, they play all Class A schools and very weak ones at that.
