what about the 1990 team?the last graham team to go 10-0 in reg.season.they had a good team.

[/ QUOTE ]

As a Graham fan I refuse to put any team with "that quarterback" at the helm on any "best of" list.

[/ QUOTE ]

That just shows how good that team was in spite of the QB...

"i would maybe nominate the '97 championship team from Bluefield... that's my pick as the best Beaver team".

That's right !!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

97 was a good team and so was 04 but neither one was the "all time best" for that you got to go way back....anybody else remember the 1967 team with Pete Wood and Ronnie Goodwin they also played as sophmores on the 1965 State Championship team and remember folks those were AAA championships.

The 1967 team was the last of the Gainor era and most people think his finest squad.

If I recall we (97) beat Weir in the playoffs which they beat the AAA state champs in the regular season, so I guess you could say 97 had a great chance to win AA and AAA? 67 team..don't know much about them heard they were great though.

a lot of people in the stands in '97 -- who were not Beaver fans and were there just watching good football -- said that was the best team in the state regardless of classification. a lot of us agreed with it. however, all that can ever be done is debate for or against it.

Haha! That's funny right there! I used to wear "Elvis glasses" under my batting helmet playing baseball in high school...when I was a sophomore, one of the seniors on the team gave me the nickname "Elvis"...
