soccerfan5 10 Report Share Posted July 25, 2007 how does the team look for next year? They lost a lot of talent with their seniors and about 80% of their scoring with Hunter.

futbolking 766 Report Share Posted September 26, 2007 soccer for boys and girls in region IV has a LOOOOONG way to go to catch up with the other regions.

futbolking 766 Report Share Posted September 27, 2007 forgot about that...how about the SWD has a LONG way to catch up with the other teams in the rest of the state...
keepitout 10 Report Share Posted October 30, 2007 Seriously guys we talk ourselves up to be big shots on the message board. Really we can't even compare ourselves to what soccer is like outside of our small hole in the ground. Down here Tazewell girls were a big fish in a small pond. It happens and we can't help the fact that there has only been a girl’s team in Tazewell for about 7 years maybe less not sure. But for as long as they have been a program just to get out of this region and go to state is a pretty big accomplishment. I didn't see in other team around here doing that. keeper1 10 Report Share Posted October 30, 2007 try abingdon's girls. i think they went to the state semis in the first 5 years of the program. and marion and abingdon both competed really well for the boys this year. abingdon ended up losing a game that could have gone either way 1-0 to the eventual state runners-up. keepitout 10 Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 all i'm saying is that just going to state is a big deal coming from this area and everyone knows that the soccer programs are better in the abingdon area.
taz_11 10 Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 not trying to talk down to them but abingdons girls probably went the first 5 years of their program to the state semi's because they were probably one of only 2 or 3 girls teams this side of roanoke. keepitout 10 Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 Couldn't agree more raz.....i mean come on if we would open our eyes we would realize that soccer in our area is not that great at all. just saying but hey you have to start somewhere. POSKN8R 12 Report Share Posted November 15, 2007 say what you want but swd has came a long way and they only keep getting better and didnt the taz girls beat abingdon???
keeper1 10 Report Share Posted November 16, 2007 yeah, they split games with the abingdon girls. i think it is a mix of tazewell getting better and abingdon's girls going backwards. some of the girls have priorities that they put before winning games or even playing in them. ah well, i guess thats their choice to make.
