DCUnited1976 10 Report Share Posted September 17, 2007 My board on virginiapreps got axed due to lack of use. :P This season will be different as I will be writing the questions used in the TCAC competition, as well as the SCAEL competition the folks in the Piedmont District play (I won't be writing the lit questions for SCAEL though.) I also got the bid to write the questions for Missouri's version of Scholastic Bowl. Good luck to all competing teams. If not, this thread will linger until I post results in a few weeks/months (depends on when people get results to me.) For the record, I don't write for MACC/SWAC or for Wise County's PACE competition. But feel free to post thoughts about that. DCUnited1976 10 Author Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 The Clinch Mountain had their first meet on 10/29: Match #1: John Battle 155, Virginia High 100 Lee County 140, Gate City 50 Match #2 Lee County 140, John Battle 130 Virginia High 185, Gate City 45 I know there are TCAC meets, as well as Wise County PACE meets. Tazewell was very dominant and will surely make an impression in the VHSL tournament in January. DCUnited1976 10 Author Report Share Posted December 19, 2007 Whoops, didn't see the 'M' in CMD. The CMD plays a double-round robin as you noticed and the tournament will be @ Lebanon. They have a district tournament. I think they have a 'warm up' match and then a 'real' match, and then do a home-and-away. Coeburn and Saint Paul don't play SB though, they place Wise County PACE. No results in from them as yet. BTW, Honaker has made some noise; they finished second at the Auburn tournament (losing to AA Cave Spring) and then sixth at the Cave Spring tournament out of seventeen teams. They were behind top-50 national teams like Russell KY and Maggie Walker, they and were ahead of Lebanon, Auburn, and EastMont. However, Rappahannock County and Parry McCluer got snowed out Saturday; it was really shaping up to be a nice Group A battle. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
