Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 The hits just keep on coming. He could be back sooner with the use of a special brace depending on how well the surgery went tonight. Knowing what a tough customer Hall is I would expect he'll be back sooner rather than later...
rabidbeaver 90 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 That is a big loss for VT but VT'S overall defense is excellent so I think they will be able to adjust accordingly.
Beamerball 566 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 Would like to see Houseright get some PT. [ QUOTE ] Hall to Undergo Wrist Surgery, Out 4-6 Weeks by Chris Coleman, TechSideline.com Associate Editor Oct 07, 2007 Virginia Tech has announced that All-American senior linebacker Vince Hall suffered a broken left wrist during Saturday night's game at Clemson, and the injury will require surgery. As a result, Hall is expected to miss 4-6 weeks of action. The news is somewhat unexpected. Although ESPN cameras clearly showed Hall being hurt during Saturday's game, he returned to the field shortly thereafter and was able to finish the game. He leads the team with 61 tackles. He also has five tackles for loss and two sacks. Brett Warren, a r-junior, is listed as Hall's backup. He is regarded as being a good player against the run, but questionable against the pass. When Hall was briefly out of the game on Saturday, it was walk-on Jonas Houseright who replaced him. Bud Foster apparently trusts Houseright in coverage moreso than Warren. In other injury news, Ed Wang did not play against Clemson. He will likely see his first action of the year this Saturday against Duke. VTCC22 10 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 Youre exactly right. All they have to do is give that man a rubber pad to put on his cast and he can play. He might look like a cave man with that club hand but he can still get the job done. Ive seen this type of thing before and the player played fine. Vince Hall is indeed a tough athlete and I think he can handle it.
