  1. What about Graham vs. OPEN. I say graham drops another to go 0-3. OPEN will play their JV after the mid point of the third Q and GHS will score again this week. OPEN wins this one 42-12. Open just has much better coaching on both sides of the ball.
  2. I went to the scrimmage and Graham could get no worse in the secondary. Worst secondary I have ever seen would not cover and would not tackle. Need alot of work in this area. The run D was average. If any coach was there scouting he will pass, pass and pass again. Every pass outside of two thrown and caught by the oposition went for touchdowns. LBs did a good job of causing turnovers. Don't know who coaches the secondary but perhaps someone else should to avoid utter disaster. The safetys were non existant (really never moved of ran straight into the mess in the middle) and the corners were never in position and were beaten at will. Dreadful. On Offense they struggled to run the ball until second strings came in for the opposition. One back ran backwards the majority of the game and almost ran into the coaches on the other side of the field (for Graham). Very poor decision making. My point is that the kid that transfered to Tazewell had to be better than what I saw last Friday night, cant be any worse. I can see were the precieved favoritism to certain players come from. More relatives, more problems, just a different coach this time. The attrition will continue to worsen as time passes. The young man that transfered was a stand up young man with great character and good grades. I guess these things mean little to people anymore. I have persistantly heared negative comments about a very good young man in the community. Perhaps they should look at themselves before pointing fingers. Good luck at Tazwell buddy, show um what you got. Good luck to him until they play Graham. Graham needs to spread the field to get some defenders out of the backfield. Long year for the good guys.
  3. Definitely a great combo. With the talent that Concord already has, they should contend strongly for the WVIAC championship
  4. If you actually read my thread instead of the first line you would see that I was still talking about the football team. I was merely comparing the excitement of the team as opposed to the band. BAND IS BY NO MEANS A SPORT!!!
  5. Truth is, people only go to the G-Man football games to watch the band. Thats the only entertainment there is around here. All of you have seen them play. Noone wants to watch David get sacked the whole game because of a terrible line. Noone wants to see the running backs fall down before someone even attempts to tackle them. Barry Sanders couldnt even help them out. So truly the band is the only reason most people go to the games. Of course Im not speaking for everyone.
  6. He might be a great Forward in the league but definitely not a Center. He is too small to be an NBA Center
  7. Only one of the greatest Centers in College basketball today for the North Carolina Tarheels
  8. WHen you put it like that it may change some minds. We all do love to watch College Football for its uniqueness over any other sport. I definitely prefer College Football over the NFL. The NFL has become a circus act to me.
  9. Yeah thats true. Most preseason ranking come out before the teams cut players for some apparent reason. Some teams may even aquire new players right at the last minute. Its all crazy. UVA youre idea is exactly how it should be. If only the people who actually run the BCS read these threads, they would be alot smarter!
  10. There is always a complaint about something. I think the controversy is what makes College Football so exciting. However I still think a playoff would be better.
  11. Im all for playoffs. It gives each team a fair shot at the National Championship.
  12. There are several things they could do to fix the revenue problem but thats something the officials gotta figure out. Im sure we could add a few suggestions but what would that really matter?
  13. Yeah last season was crazy. Hell, VT almost had a shot at the NC due to the upsets. I am all for the playoffs. I have always wondered how a team can go undefeated but never make it to the NC also. Not only would th playoffs truly determine the best 2 teams in the Nation but it would extend College Football for all of us college football fans. i dont know about you guys, but I would love to see the college football season extended
