I think they had a few good years after they dropped to Class A, but I don't think they could have ever been considered a "pretty strong program".

 

2007- 4-6

2006- 2-8

2005- 3-7

2004- 7-3

2003- 5-5

2002- 3-7

2001- 3-7

 

Combines since 2001: 27-43

All I know is they beat Graham only one time between 1970-1985 (1983). After the SWD broke up, I don't have much on them until 2001, but I don't ever remember them being a "powerhouse"...a few winning seasons here and there but that's about it.

They had some pretty good teams in mid-late 90s.

In 1996 they went 9-1 shared Hogo title with Chil and went to playoffs. It was 1997 when they went to Region C Title Game and lost to Radford and in 1999 they went 7-3 and made the playoffs. Also, I remember during this time they had a very good kicker who was capable of making long field goals. Does anyone remember him and if he went anywhere

Andrew Hocket he went to Emory and played o line and kicked he is now on the PH staff.

When they had Richie Thomas they were a very tough team. They had some tough lineman and always had a decent back in the backfeild (J. Boswell, B. Turner, C. Pennington.) They would just line up and pund the ball. They had no powder blue on there uniforms either.
