picks are here :

-------

observations -

On Christmas Day, nobody had a perfect record and only one entry was still winless.

With 3 of the first 4 games being "upsets", only 1 person started 3-0 : the eventual winner.

(He also made it to 5-0 before the 1st loss.)

Only VHSL-helper picked all the 1 pt. games correctly.

No entry had a sweep of the 3, 5, or 7 point games

(dawgs86 came close, with only 1 miss each of the 1, 3 & 5 pt. games).

Only Beaverteeth & MavsRock picked all the 10 pt. games correctly.

Beaverteeth was the only one to get all 5 BCS games right;

MavsRock missed the LSU game, which would have been enough to move into 1st place.

The other 2 entries that picked Ohio St. finished in the bottom 4.

Here's everyone's overall record :

14-18 : Bogeavers, WaveFan09

15-17 : Junkyard

16-16 : rhs85

18-13 : CAVALIERS2, griz

18-14 : BHS72, bhs7695, realtrueblue, rvtne113, Ryan4VT, T45, UVAObserver

19-12 : richlands76

19-13 : beaverbaseball, dinkman, Grundy10, rhsfan88

20-12 : BigBlueAlum, bluenecknation, blufan04, GetMoney55, TonyMontana

22-10 : Beaverteeth, Blues_56, GMan, shanefive, VHSLhelper

23-7 : MavsRock

The conference with the best winning % :

I don't know what this was for, but it didn't matter.

A tie-breaker wasn't needed and no one picked the right one, anyway.

12 entries had no conf. picked.

13 entries had the SEC, followed by 6 for the ACC, 2 each for the Big East & Pac 10,

and 1 for the Mtn. West.

Here's the results :

Sun Belt : 1-0, 100%

Mtn. West : 4-1, 80% - 1 pick

SEC : 7-2, 78% - 13 picks

WAC : 3-1, 75%

Pac 10 : 4-2, 67% - 2 picks

Big 12 : 5-3, 62%

Big East : 3-2, 60% - 2 picks

Big 10 : 3-5, 38%

CUSA : 2-4, 33%

ACC : 2-6, 25% - 6 picks

indy : 0-1

MAC: 0-3

SEC - 13 : beano5, beaverbaseball, blueinbama, bluenecknation, Blues_56,

dawgs86, ghs84, GMan, Grundy10, rhs85, Ryan4VT, shanefive, T45

ACC - 6 : bhs7695, BigBlueAlum, CAVALIERS2, dinkman, roadwarrior, UVAObserver

Big East - Bogeavers, WaveFan09

Pac 10 - MavsRock, poker

Mtn. West - VHSL-helper

A perfect entry would have been 7,8,7,5,4,1 = 7 + 24 + 35 + 35 + 40 + 20 = 161;

the best score could have been 161 + 99 + 86 + 82 = 428.

Both beaverbaseball and blueinbama had the same number of points in both catagories.

GMan & poker also finished tied in both catagories, but with diff. picks!

lol what is better conference pick???...lol all i know is i feel Elite cuz only me and Gman had that..yeah thats right be jealous..

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe that it means that the conference that you picked to have the best winning percentage had a better winning percentage than the person that had the same points as you. So it was the tie breaker.
