Bogeavers 10 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 Georgetown is completely destroying WVU and this should be a blow out pretty soon. They don't even frikin care. Dammit...this adds to my great sports day.
Bogeavers 10 Author Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 This has been a [censored] glorious day of sports for me. [censored]! WVU is playing like complete [censored] again, Bluefield got beat... Maybe WVU can go out early in the tourney so, I won't have to worry about them being a disappointment. They have already done that today. What a [censored] joke... Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 Harsh aren't we? WVU is playing for the third straight day against another Top 15 opponent. Honestly, did you really think they could topple G-Town after having beat UConn yesterday? They've run out of gas. At least they've punched their ticket to the Big Dance. In the past, how many times could a WVU fan say that they're going to the NCAAs?
sanctagon 11 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 have to admit though, georgetown is in a "zone" it seems.

sanctagon 11 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 i guess wvu is now on the preverbial "bubble" again for a tourney bid, im sure espn will be eating this performance up for the "overrated" mountaineers.
GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 they are not on the bubble. they are in. have been for a while. the win against UConn only better secured that.

MTNEER1 10 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 JA has avg. 30 some points the last few games.....he is the reason the team is in the tournament. No bubble, just some R&R time before thursday/friday. It's hard to play 3 days in a row (2)against top 15 teams when your not. They ran out of gas.....GU is shooting lights out. Pitt better watch out, unless GU quits hitting the three ball. He has seven other guys that helped WVU win basketball games down ther stretch. Also, there were ten "bubble" teams lost on Thursday that help to put WVU into the big dance. [/ QUOTE ] They were on the bubble and Joe turned it on. JA is the reason they are in the tournament. Butler is really the only one offensively that made any difference. Wellington Smith played good on defense at times and once in a while on offense. The team would not have won the last three games ( st. johns...OT, Providence won by 4, and Uconn won.) before GU if JA had not gotten hot. Of course he couldn't do it all....impossible, but without his play the last two weeks, WVU's hopes of the NCAA tourny is questionable. GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 not the ONLY reason, but probably 97% of the reason that is helping them win these games. Without Alexander playing well for WVU down this stretch, they wouldnt be winning games, therefore they wouldnt even be a "bubble team", therefore we wouldnt be having these thread posts about WVU and its tournament chances. Joe Alexander is WVU's best and most valuable player, period.
Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 He is the "go to guy." But this is a really irrelevant discussion. Take away the best player from every tourney team and most of them would be on oon the bubble.

[/ QUOTE ] Not only is Rules right but from I gathered from listening to the game on the radio is that G'town was double teaming him and was really making him work for everything....kinda thought coach Thompson would that do going into the game.
