I'm so excited for Drew. He's a great representative of my school and I wish him the best of luck. That piece that ESPN did was amazing. It's great to still be receiving support for the atrocities that occurred here last year. The 16th is sneaking up on us pretty quickly, so stuff like that is somewhat providing a buffer leading up to next wednesday.

With all that said, is there any way Tiger loses this tournament? I feel like it's going to take poor play from Tiger and someone else going off. Other than Tiger, who do you predict will do well?

If I had to predict who else has a great shot at chasing down Tiger I would choose Adam Scott. Ranked 8th in the world, Scott's swing is almost identical to Tiger's because he is a student of Tiger's ex-teacher Butch Harmon. Tiger Woods is by far my favorite golfer, but I have liked Adam Scott ever since he hit the scene in around 2001.

Didn't he play at Ga. Tech?

He is another good article on Drew Weaver:

John Daley also was under the tutelage of Butch Harmon....

Harmon fired Daley.....what an enormous talent that has been sidelined by his "off course" life.

I know Harmon doesn't work with Daly, but I just have to ask this question; how does the employee (the guy getting payed) fire the guy employer (the guy paying?)

In the real world that is called quitting a job.

Just making a statement about Harmon....nothing else. Harmon, I think, truly wanted to help him....but help has to be "received."

Daly doesn't want help...he just wants his women, his beer and his cigarettes...

Weaver didn't qualify, but the other VT guy, Johnson Wagner is still alive.

"Lefty" is lurking....Cink, (lives down the road here in Gwinnett, Sugarloaf, where they play the AT&T (Bell South Classic) is in the hunt. Tiger is back in the mix....he is capable...... but, can he do it?

One interesting note, Ben Crenshaw, didn't make the cut....but, I was thinking he had a Tazewell County connection....Googled it...and his mother was born in Tazewell County, nee Johnson.

I'm hoping Cink can keep it up....but, Phil, seems as if he's on a mission. The weather today and tomorrow could, however, decide the winner.

Yes, it's true. A regular poster and I have links to Ben Crenshaw and his family down the line.

So, I'm guessing the golfing "gene" runs in the family.

The Masters wasn't suspenseful but it was refreshing to see a "first timer" come away with the green jacket.

Tiger made a run....but Immelman's lead was to much in the end to overcome.

Trevor hit some great shots today to put him position to shake off some of those "nerves" shots. If Tiger had made a couple of putts today, then that water shot on 16 could have cost Trevor the jacket.

Agreed....but Immelman's lead helped him survive the "kerplunk/splash" drive....which, I don't think anyone can comprehend how that even happened. The announcers first thought he was in the sandtrap....but, I knew it was water....oh my.

Yes, if Tiger could have made some putts, but also, others just needed to do the same.... but in the end it was only "if they could have" and the "rookie" came away with the jacket.

Scott Smith caddied for her all week...pretty sure they had a little thing for each other...she called him all summer from wherever she was playing golf...he even went to one of the events to caddy for her again, all expense paid by her...
