izzo5 10 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 ur just upset cuz you didnt get back of the year last year.. garrett horne could run circles around gary if he just had a line to block for him.. garrett wil be back of the year Dude we went 0-10 last year haha, and there was this guy named LOGAN BALL who rushed for 300 more yards than i did, had 20 more touchdowns than I did, and got to the playoffs. I would be stupid to think i should have been back of the year over him. And yes Garrett is one of my best friends from birth Garrett would run cirlcles, squares, or rectangles around Gary if he had a good line but have you not read the paper of what little Gary is doing??? Getting back of the year isn't about being the best just about having the best season and if either of them get it i'll be happy. But there is more than just back of the year there is Offensive player of the year and Player of the year, my pick was gary back of the year and garrett offensive player of the year. So don't you think for a second i wasn't giving Garrett his dang well desirved credit.

VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 I think you may have missed this one Helper....I watched Big Creek and Mount View Saturday night don't let that score fool you....Mount View coughed it up more times than I care to remember and wanted to throw for eternity all night(and could have run wild on BC and did every time they put it on the ground go figure that coaching out)...134 yds on the ground for BC with 5 backs 120 and change throwing and that was on two big passes (one for 70yds one for 40 yds)and a couple for 5-8 yds. BC ran 30 some plays Mt.View ran 71 I think....They werent that good Mt.View was just that bad..... 22-0 after 1 q. Don't think I missed this one a bit, although I wouldn't have minded a bit if I had.
MrSocko 136 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 hey helper if you would attended the game you would have seen the crappy officials. The grand call of the night was in the first quarter when they called a late hit on the sideline after a turnover then to add insult to injury they added another 15 yards against Hurley over a fan. You know that is not legal. They then got the parent ejected from the game when he said no profanity or threat toward the ref. The turnover was suppose to start on the 45 instead in went to the 15. The score should have been a lot closer. If you read the bdt you can see the stats and our sustained drives that inside their 15 yard line that came short. They are a good team who took advantage of our turnovers and got points. They had no long drives. If I was you I go shut my mouth and do what you do best be a nerd who never played football and made sacrifices like the rest of the young men who practice all week and give it everything they got on Friday. vafootballfan 10 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 if hurley could have scored on the first drive of the game it might have been a differnt game because then Big Creek put up 30 points before halftime but the second half hurley played real good. thats where those easy wins in the first three games hurt Hurley because their starters had not played a full game together and be put under pressure to have to score points and play good defense to win a game. also Big Creek has a good team got more team speed than i have seen in a long time so congrats to big creek and Hurley go get em next week you have a good team so practice hard next week and bring home another win for Hurley . MrSocko 136 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 Big Creek who is 13th. in the WV ap poll and 8th in the points in single A playoff points is a really good team. They made points off of our turnovers. The score should have been around 24-12 Big Creek's favor. The refs were awful they called a majority of the flags in the first quarter and half of the 2nd. quarter. Then on top of all that at the end of the game some of the parents from Big Creek were threating our coaches and our players and anybody else they could find. The Hurley football team had to be escorted off the field to the locker room by the police so they could just dress and leave if that was not bad enough some vandals went to locker room and threw some of the boys clothes in the toilet with pee and other stuff. The parents and the school officials sure know how set an example for their youth. The War police dept. did a find job though really nice and unbias maybe the parents should take a few lessons from them.
VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 hey helper if you would attended the game you would have seen the crappy officials. Why bother? I've been around long enough to know that there's a bit of a difference in WV refs & Va. refs. Grundy, Hurley & Richlands have some experience there, and I've heard plenty. Nothing else need be said (except maybe you should look at what I said last week about Grundy @ Matewan). Besides, how could I attend the game and and still send the Blues out all over the world??? DIAMOND 10 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 Big Creek owls had some help from the referees. When you are up against the head ref that already had his mind made up to call a 15 yard penalty everytime one of the players farted from Hurley's team, how can you fairly compete. I know what I and a whole stadium of fans saw. Hurley played the refs the first two quarters and the refs won. The second half third and fourth quarter I saw a whole different football club, Hurley came out pumped and finshed alot of unanswered cheapshots. They plucked some feathers and busted some hooties and let them owls know it could have been an different ballgame if the refs weren't involved. I didn't see any fair tackles from the owls they were all cheap shots and punches after the whistle had blown. I definitely didn't see any major plays that influenced me to think they were the power house they boasted they were. Oh yea, as if they hadn't done enough the fans were rude enough to call our football club names and make threats to them. To those who ramsacked the locker room and put Hurley players belongings in the urinal that had waste in them, what good did that do we didn't do that to you when you came to Hurley. That just shows you that Hurley won't stupe that low. To the parents of these indivuals it's a shame that you would encourage acts like this. So that's another chapter in the Hurley Rebels football now its time to move on and concentrate on the Hornets.

thundercloud 179 Report Share Posted September 20, 2008 Is this the last year for Big Creek? I thought they were closing last year. Not sure but, something to think about is the fact there's going to be a good size double A school in Bradshaw when they combine with Iaeger. colts18 10 Report Share Posted September 22, 2008 22-0 after 1 q. Don't think I missed this one a bit, although I wouldn't have minded a bit if I had. you know alot has been said about the refs but nothing has been said about the owls coaches . you know if you see a kid take a cheap shot that is going to be a 15 yard pent. time and time again but isnt called and you still put that kid back in the game or never take him out ,why? why dont you take him out because maybe just maybe that was part of there game plane knowing that it would never be called untill things got so bad the cops had to called in I hold the coaching staff also responsable for these kids actions. I have alot of respect for coach TESTER as a player and as a coach he never gave up coahing not even in the last min. of the game that showed alot of heart by him and his team, and as far as the game would go HURLEY is as good as a team as BIG CREEK anyone who didnt see the game wont think that because of the score but anybody that knows football its not allways the score that will tell you how good or bad a team is dont get me wrong B.C. has some speed and talent on there team but anyone who was there from hurley would tell you that if that game had been played on even terms that it would have been alot better game, I talked to a guy I know very well from B.C and he told me that he thought that B.C realy stunk that he thought that was the worst they had played all year I laughed and said I couldnt smell there stink over the refs! but I would like to say this I have known guys for year that live in or around B.C. and they are good people that live there just like anywhere else you have some fans that are just, well not the kind you would like to have unless there is a fight lol !then you might want them. I just cant wait untill next year Im making a predcition now that Hurley will win that game by 2 T.D"s there not losing to many players and will have alot coming up from there JV program that I have seen and these young kids love to hit so untill then as for me all I have left to say we lost not but B.C didnt beat us on there own! they had alittle help from there friends.
