merry christmas everyone i have had a great afternoon son and daughter home and 4 mth old grand babys first christmas.

Hurley won 51 to 39

if Hurley wins the BDD would they get a home playoff game or have to travel?

that is the reason that i like to get on here and read about our local teams to see how they done on friday night i would like to see more people post game stats tackles etc.

cant remember what year it was might have been 05 haysi was winning big near the end of the game after scoring kicked onside to try to run the score up even more but their excuse was his foot slipped.

i have a ? about travling long distances to play football games could they not play some of the games on sat or are they a rule against it. they could start the games early so the kids would not have to be out all night.

before you all get bent out of shape over what i said the problems i referred to were grundy used to have a great feeder program with big rock, harman,2 vansant teams,prater,and bevins all having teams which made a good varsity program that could compete with anyone. and yes i will pull for Hurley And Twin Valley when they do play.

ok here is my two cents worth on the whole Grundy going to the BDD. everyone thinks its ok for grundy to leave the southwest district where they are the smallest school and go to the BDD where they will be the largest school. but the one thing i hope for is when they do that teams like Hurley and Twin Valley show them that they problems other than the amount of kids you have in their school.

i remember coach bradley from grundy when i went there he was a great coach then and will always will be. and a lot of schools could take notes on how it takes a real good feeder system to make a sucessful varsity program .

friday nights game was one of the best games i have ever been to in high school or any level of football it goes to show you that you dont have to be a big school to not have a good game the only losers in this game were the people who were not there congrads to castlewood and hurleys coachs,players,fans,and even the refs for a great game. and to the rebels you boys go take care of williamson friday night i will be there cheering for you.

well what i saw friday night was when on a kick off a Big Creek player took a cheap shot on one of ours right in front of a ref and he ran over like he was going to throw a flag but he patted the Big Creek boy on the back and another time near the end of the game they called personal foul on Hurley kid and one of Big Creeks kids took his helment off and tried to fight with hurley boys which should have been a unsportmanlike on him if im right. also if you go to Big Creek your team has to stand on the home side of the field and get cussed all night by the Big Creek fans. also a word on the police from War the ref threw out one of hurleys kids dad for saying something to him about a call he made then they stand in front of us in the bleachers like they were waiting for us to say something else so they could throw someone else out and not 50 feet away Big Creeks fans were cussing and threating our Kids. And does any one know of other teams that make the visitors stand on the home side of the field ?
