Weezy_2_Warriors 10 Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 I've heard if Chilhowie loses we don't get to go to the playoffs

roadwarrior 10 Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 If Chilhowie loses, they need Bath Co to beat James River or Fort Chiswell to not win the MED, otherwise there will be no wildcard and Chilhowie would be out

Narz_Wave 10 Report Share Posted October 27, 2008 Were the playoffs to start today, assuming Floyd knocks off Giles tonight and Chilhowie takes out GW, D2 would look as follows: Â 1-Floyd Co 2-Chilhowie 3-Fort Chiswell 4-James River
trigger 10 Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 Floyd beat Giles 35-21. If FLoyd beats Auburn OR Radford they will represent the TRD in the playoffs. Floyds game with Radford could determine home field between Floyd and a 10-0 Chilhowie. It is possible that a 9-1 Floyd could outpoint a 10-0 Chilhowie. VivaFutbol 10 Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 Its also possible that a 6-4 GW team can get in with a victory and be two victories away from the state semis. And I think it can happen, but will it?
roadwarrior 10 Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 I don't know the exact numbers right now but I'm thinking if Chilhowie beats GW, Giles is still the frontrunner to grab a wildcard spot if they win their last two games and Bath wins the Pioneer or Fort loses the MED. A 6-4 Giles would outpoint a 5-5 GW and even a 7-3 Radford most likely (assuming they lose to Floyd), but it would probably go to Radford with a victory over Floyd. I could see Giles outpointing Fort for the #3 seed in this scenario and going to Chilhowie for a first round game. Having Giles come to town for a first round game would be a tall task for a what would be an undefeated Warrior team. Nothing comes easy in this region. Could someone please correct me on this if I am wrong?
