HurricaneWarning 212 Report Share Posted November 13, 2008 Wonder how far it'll go? I`m sure everyone is ok for it to come down as much as possible. When it fell to 1.99 a gallon, it was weird seeing the 1 back up on the signs.
nollama 10 Report Share Posted November 13, 2008 I'm hoping for 90 cents. That is the lowest i ever remeber it being. Of course oil was like 10 bucks a barrell then to.

Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted November 13, 2008 I would not mind seeing the 1.50 price again thats as low as i have ever seen it. It was well under $1.00 in the mid-late 90s. I saw it at $.76 in Washington County one day about 13 years ago. I remember this distinctly.

I started driving in 1994 and was around 0.99 a gallon then. I could get 5.00 worth and drive around forever.

futbolking 766 Author Report Share Posted November 13, 2008 Where the heck was I in 1997??? I don't remember it being under $1.00 since I was in college about 10 years earlier... I was living in Richmond and remember it dropping below $1.00 and I couldn't believe it when I saw $0.89 at the BP station down the street from where I lived...it didn't last very long though. According to this website: http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/wrgp/mogas_history.html Man, I must have been living in a fog from '85 to 2000...to me it seems gas has been $2.50+/gallon for EVER...maybe I've just got a bad case of C.R.S.... Do those prices include taxes??? Are those the retail prices or futures prices???
BigBlueAlum 12 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 Retail prices including tax. Im with you though. The cheapst gas I can actually remember seeing is $1.78 back in 2004. Thats only because the gas station burnt down and the sign stayed up for a couple years with that price on it.
coacher 10 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 I can remember back in 97-98 gas got down under 80Cents a gallon.

BigBlueAlum 12 Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 You're even beating my Central PA pace now. Just $1.83 up here. That's the only place I have seen it that low, and it seems that they may have raised it back up a few cents. But it is $1.77 in Rosedale/Honaker now.
