buzzsawBeaver 12 Report Share Posted January 21, 2009 I signed up for the lpd message board a month or so ago when I leanred that bluefield would be playing gate city, I enjoy reading up on the teams bluefield will play and about other areas of high school football, so I signed up as thebuzzsawBeaver. The site itself seems to have been changed in recent weeks, as in different colors, so maybe this is some error, but when I logged in earlier it read "You have been banned for the following reason: No reason was specified. Date the ban will be lifted: Never" I never even posted on that site, so I'm assuming this is either something caused by the changes to the site, or something unexpected like someone really has something personal against me, I'd assume it's the former? Beamerball 566 Report Share Posted January 21, 2009 Hostboard changed servers and when they opened things back up they some problems with the LPD board (being an older version and such, can't remember what all they said). So they had to import the forum over. Its still in a bit of mess currently. Everyone has gotten the "banned message" when trying to login with their old user names. Apparently there was a problem there too and they're working on that. Some have just registered again until that's solved. Looks like they've still got some work to do on it. That mess is explained a bit in a couple of threads here: http://www.hostboard.com/forums/project-1/ There's supposed to be a redirect the forum but for some at least it takes you to hostboard's main site. Beamerball 566 Report Share Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Hostboard moved to a new server and made some changes, and when they came back online they had trouble with getting the LPD board back up (something about it being an older version and such), then had to import everything over. They've gotten in back up but still working on some things. Everyone who's tried their old logins has received the "banned messaged". Appears there's a problem with that too, and they're working on it. Some have just registered again until that's fixed. Not sure if it already has been. Wasn't much of anything there on the mods forum that hadn't been said on the actual forum though, lol. Don't know why people were surprised there was one anyway? The topics were in reverse order too, but there was a display option at the top that sort of fixed that a bit. Try logging in as imported_[your usernamen here]. buzzsawBeaver 12 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 thought I'd mention i just attempted to use the lpd message board again and logged in with "unbanned banned account" apparently not banned anymore and was able to read messages and use the message board without any problems.
