hokiepanther 10 Report Share Posted January 23, 2009 im gonna say graham.. at least on the varsity end.. ive seen both teams play and graham seems to be a much faster team than grundy, and if they keep up the speed they'll have grundy worn out by the 2nd half.. Grundy10 10 Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 Grundy, who is in the bottom of the SWD, already has victories over Haysi and Council. The only place the BDD is better than the SWD is in 1st place. Grundy10 10 Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 I was actually at most of those games. The SWD is better as a whole THIS SEASON than the BDD. Most seasons it is not true. Its just hard for you to say that. Its ok. Nobody in the SWD can compete with TV. Not saying that at all. But when this season's Grundy team can split with arguably the 2nd best team in the BDD (I know Hurley beat Council the other night...im looking at the entire body of work) then that should tell you something. billhilly 10 Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 as u guys are saying, no one in the region can even come close to twin valley, and truthfully probably no one in swva....as far as swd and bdd other than tv, from the best swd has to offer and from the second best team in the bdd, any of the teams could beat any of the others on any given night....they are all pretty much equal....haysi is hands down the worse team in the bdd so probably every team in the swd would win....if hurley is having a good night, grundy, taz, richlands or carroll and maybe not even graham can beat them, but if they are having an off night, all of those teams could beat them....same goes for council, although even with a bad night for council they still have otto fletcher which means they will always have a chance of winning because of his size not only scoring but rebounding and altering shots.....imo graham is the best team in the swd and more than likely can beat anyone other than twin valley in the bdd.....now honaker is another very streaky team, they have been playing much better as of late, they can almost beat lebanon a week or so ago maybe 2 and played tv a good first half in the first meeting and also have beaten hurley, they can beat anyone in the swd if they are playin well....they are way more physical that grundy which would be grundys major problem, they are not physical at all....joe stevens is too lazy, he dont play to his ability, he could be ALOT better if he tried, but he dont like to get banged around.....point of all this is u take the second team from the bdd and all the swd and any team could beat the other on any night, none are really any better than the other........ But TV doesn't have to compete against those schools come playoff time but the SWD teams do and don't stand a chance in the Region tournament unless the SWD #1 seed gets a favorable position in the Region tournament bracket (ie. opposite the #1 seeds from the River Ridge and Piedmont)...although I'm not sure the SWD's best is capable of beating either of the #2 seeds from either of those two districts either...
