Â how does that make a difference? they played like an hour earlier than they usually do. and they still all stayed for the girls game so its not like they all went home and went to bed and rested. Â and how many games did ghs play this week almost every night they had a game so playing the night before does not wash. that is part of the game. ghs was and is better than marion. They missed too many easy shots, at one point being down 26-22 and having 6 free throws due to 2technicals, plus possision, and ended up only making 2 of the 6 and turning it over. That was the closest they ever got pretty much. Marion got beat by Bryan's (?) 3's, the PG's all around outstanding play and their inside game, particularly by their sarting center. These could have been countered if Marion used their big men on defense much more effectively, knew how to rotate on defense, had better perimeter d, all of which need to be taught and practiced, which they don't do, or at least not enough. That's on the coaching, which has been Marion's weakest link for the last several years. All props to the GMen for winning the SWD, and for the kids playing clean and hard.
