beaverborn
Bodes very well for the future of Bluefield High School football.
Unchained
Since we are bragging on the youngin's,my son's 8th-grade (middle school) team traveled to Virginia High Monday evening for a jamboree. The future TRIBE defeated Abingdon 14-8,and Virginia High (middle) 8-6. These guys won the Southwest Virginia Division 2 league last year as 7th-graders. Things are looking well for B.I. Salyers and J.J.Kelly in the future.
Guest old_school
I'll go ahead and throw out some Tazewell stuff as well. Beat Abingdon 20-6 on 8/24 but lost to Richlands Monday 32-13. Richlands has a big team. We have Lebanon tonight.

Guest JJBrickface
Unfortunately you can't really determine what a high school team will be like by the way they performed in middle school.
Unchained
Agreed-many variables: coaches, kids quitting..etc. If we can keep this core of kids together,we will do good things. They play ball like the old LPD teams in the 80's (very hard-nosed and physical-nothing fancy at all)
