Well...

Recommended Posts

The long wait to August slows down...wrestling is over with...will have to rely on NASCAR and Baseball to get me through until football starts...March Madness is something to look forward to, but the 5 months after that are SLOW...oh well at least it will be warm.

Lance, I am sure that they have some nice places to fish out there in SWVA, there is no better way to kill time until football.

and its always beer season.

I enjoyed the race yesterday for the most part. At least we didn't have those long trains of cars following each other all day. There was actually racing. It also helped to have my Sprint phone listening to the spotters...that was the first time I experienced that, and it was pretty cool. Loved the outcome. Usually I had rather see anyone win besides a Ford or a Toyota, but Trevor Bayne drove his butt off yesterday, and I'm happy for the young man.

I agree with Variable...get a pole and catch some trout or bass. Heck, even if you don't catch anything you get to be "one with nature".

Racing has become unbearable. You cant watch the race, you either see commercials or telemetries showing how hot a freakin tire is. Geeeez, SHOW THE RACE, PLEEeEEEEEEEz!!!!!

I agree...it was much more fun to watch racing in the low tech early 80's than it is now...all you saw was the race and maybe a driver interview after a wreck and not much more.

I agree that was a good race! Unlike you, I was pulling for the Fords. Bayne did a great job!

The Daytona 500 is just a matter of survival. If your car comes through the day with minimal damage, you have a chance to win. Look at some of the people in the Top 12: Bayne won it, Gilliland was 3rd, etc. I hope Bayne gets more support from the Wood Brothers: the kid can just flat out drive.

Ah, well I will have a beer for you, and I wish you a speedy return to your local fishing spot.
