hokie07 11 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 I think we did one of these around the 2008 election, but I think it would be cool to see where everyone stands again. Just go here and answer these questions. It takes like 10 minutes max. http://www.politicalcompass.org/test I'll start.

ThomasDenton 79 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 Wow, mines: Economic Left/Right: -1.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.10 I'm pretty much on the line when it comes to social issues. Thought I'd be on the right in economic issues (though I don't pay that much attention to economics anyway).

bucfan64 307 Report Share Posted January 27, 2012 I recommend some of the following books, which just happen to be listed on the website as Libertarian Right. Jonah Goldberg - Liberal Fascism (awesome book, changed my whole perspective on politics) Ayn Rand (anything by her, especially Atlas Shrugged) Ludwig Von Mises- Causes of the Economic Crisis, Bureacracy (perhaps the last REAL CLASSICAL LIBERAL OF OUR TIME) Robert Higgs- Against Leviathan Ron Paul- End the Fed, The Revolution A Manifesto, Liberty Defined

bucfan64 307 Report Share Posted January 27, 2012 Are these all the books you've burned? LOL! No! I have a huge collection of books, some of which I mentioned above that I Highly recommend. These are very informative and some are very enlightening! I really recommend all of them, but if you are going to read just one, choose Jonah Goldbergs Liberal Fascism, it is, in my opinion, a life changing read! P.S. Unfortunately, I have burned a few bridges......
