There's even a bank in Abingdon called the Grundy National Bank (or something like that). yeah...GNB on exit 17...back in the late 80s when the first round of hard times hit the coal business, a lot of people who made a killing in coal in Grundy moved to Abingdon...the bank made the move over with them to keep the money. It was a lot more local focused then in banking. Abingdon is full of exiled Grundy folks...thus why it's often called "Grundy on the Holston" among other things. I'm just curious why it shows an Abingdon Duals match being held at Grundy? Every schedule i've seen has it that way...seems odd to me.
