Austin Fuller will spend Christmas Eve in Hawaii.

The former Richlands High School star will be on the field tonight for Southern Methodist University as the Mustangs meet Fresno State in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl at 10 p.m. on ESPN.

Fuller, a transfer from Virginia Tech and a sure-handed wide receiver, has appeared in 12 of SMU’s games and has caught 11 passes for 78 yards. He also has a fumble recovery and one tackle.

He is #18 for those who may watch the game--

He had a great showing tonight! He is a Sr. right? Think he can make it to the next level? I think he can, you see these teams like the Patriots for one take some no name kid and make stars out of them! What ever he does wish him the best!

Austin led SMU receivers with 84 yards. Avg 21 yds on 4 catches. Austin could make the next level as a utility player. Has decent speed and great hands. With the right system and coaches he could play somewhere as a 3rd down receiver and maybe a rotation guy. Probably just needs a shot somewhere.

He is a senior and I know he would be very appreciative of your comments--
