starcityfootballfan 517 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) In Bluefield ... G-Men survive the Maroon Tide in a low scoring MED match up! Very impressed with the Galax coach as he stated "it is not about the winning or losing, it is about the character of the team." Both schools, and their fan base, have very much respect for each other. It is great to see this mutual respect from the two communities that represent these two schools. Go G-Men! frito gonzales 103 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 Actually it was a pretty fast paced game up and down the court...neither team could hit a bucket. It looked like the goal had a lid on it for both teams.
-oo- 146 Report Share Posted January 26, 2013 It seemed to me that Galax didn't have a go to guy on the offense side. They were very hesitant on driving to the basket but when they did they found some easy buckets. If they had 1 or 2 outside shooters they would have won this game. I don't know how many times I saw players pass up wide open 3's. I'm assuming this team is pretty young and the coach might be coaching defense first which is working for them. The have an exceptional defense and don't foul too much when the ball gets to the post.
ISOaPBR 15 Report Share Posted January 27, 2013 For what it's worth, the two schools' football score was something like 45-
