What do you see VT going this year? I don't see much of a reason why we can't go 10-2ish. Have a better idea after spring training.

We're definitely losing to Alabama, GT after a short week, and Miami after having to travel to Boston the week before. I think we'll also pick up another loss along the way (UVA?!).

8-4 is my prediction.

No way we beat both UNC and Pitt....we lose to at least one of them...

Yeah, you're probably right. One of those will be my fourth loss prediction. We'll beat UVA again, whatever that's worth.

Go ahead, count that chicken before it hatches.

The BYU and Ball State games will determine whether UVA goes bowling. Particularly Ball State, a team that projects to be much better than people will give them credit. Only 2 sure losses...but then again, only 1 sure win. I'll go 6-6.

Isn't the whole idea of giving predictions "counting chickens before they hatch"? And it's not like I'm being particularly bold in such a prediction.

You certainly weren't being "bold", because you contradicted yourself in back-to-back posts:

We'll see how it shapes up. Consider yourself lucky that you have a bye week before the game on 11/30.

Whoops, I was typing on my phone, so I wasn't as wordy as I needed to be.

In my updated prediction, VT will lose to either Pitt or UNC instead of UVA because: a.) VT is coming off a bye week as you mentioned and b.) history suggests such.
