As I said earlier this week, Appomattox played the real state title game 2 weeks ago...

I said it as well. And I got jumped all over.   It was painfully obvious what was going to happen in this game. It's just gut-wrenching. Up 15 with 6 to go and can't close.

UVA signee Tre Harbison had 295 yards rushing and 7 tds. As Shelby Crest won the 3AA state title 55-21 over Southern Durham in North Carolina.

Next play Tre Walker scampers in for Appomattox TD! PAT is good. Appomattox leads Clarke 14-0 with 1:03 left in half.

Here comes the final play of the half. Fourth down LT on the Salem 13. :02 left. Salem up 14-0.

 

LTaylor scores a TD to end the half.

 

Touchdown Lake Taylor! The PAT is good. Salem 14, Lake Taylor 7 at the end of the half.

 

That's the end of the first half here at Liberty. Salem is up 14-7 over Lake Taylor. LT had a nice final drive with almost all plays passes.

The promising int quickly turned into 4th down and 20. Appomattox will takeover near midfield.


 



But the Eagles can't do much with that gift. They punt and Raiders will start second possession of the third quarter from their 47.

HUGE turnover. Appomattox fumbles and Clarke recovers. Eagles ball on Raiders' 16 yard line. 3:18 left 3Q.

 

But Raiders fumble and Clarke with another chance, this time from the 16. Late action saving an otherwise lackluster third quarter.
