Unchained 587 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2017 CENTRAL TAKES SHUTOUT WINS OVER LEBANON, HURLEY IN CAVALIER PHARMACY JAMBOREE By KEVIN MAYS Dalton Mullins came up big for the Wise Central offense Friday, but it was the Warrior defense that made the most impressive outing in a three-team jamboree at Tommy McAmis Field. Mullins, the Warriors’ senior quarterback accounted for both touchdowns for Central in win over Lebanon and Hurley by identical 7-0 scores. Both of Mullins’ scores came on big runs – a 40-yard sprint against Lebanon and a 70-yard scoring run in the lone score in the game with Hurley. “Today was the first time we faced the 50 defense and we really didn’t have a walk through with our blocking schemes and things. In the first game (against Lebanon) we really didn’t know what we were supposed to be doing up front. In the second game, we picked it up really well,” said Mullins. While the Warrior offense sputtered from time to time in both two-quarter games, the Central defense dominated the line of scrimmage in both contests. “I thought it was a great defensive effort. We kept shooting ourselves in the foot offensively,” said Central coach Luke Owens. “We had three trips to the red zone and we kept backing ourselves out and getting behind the sticks. You know getting a second-and-20 and a second-and-25 just because of mental errors. It was just too many trips to the red zone and we walked away with zero points.” The Warriors open up the season for real this coming Friday with a game at Wise County rival Eastside. Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted August 19, 2017 Aside from needing LASIK after reading that radioactive teal font, that's actually pretty good writing for a high school recap. Ryan4VT

Other than that it does seem to have good content.
