Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted December 10, 2006 [ QUOTE ] someone said that Emats was going to do richlands and honakers fields. [/ QUOTE ] that is what i heard...but i also heard the coaches dont want it b/c it would b at a disadvantage to us when we go on the road...i say if we go on the road practice on the baseball field where we always do and if we r home practice on the turf
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted December 10, 2006 [ QUOTE ] is richlands getting turf? [/ QUOTE ] I think EMATS gave an estimate to re-sod the two fields. Not install field turf.
bluenecknation 17 Report Share Posted December 10, 2006 the turf deal could happen. heard also that the cost was $485,000 for 1 field & could have 2 fields done for $630,000. really think this could happen after all w/ the blues & honaker getting turf. BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted December 10, 2006 I think those figures were for re-sodding though. Field turf is more expensive than that. How much was the sod for the new little league field?
BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 what about field turf? looks like grass and plays like grass,we could have the R in the middle and RHS in the End Zones.

Justin_Credible 10 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 I hope theres no turf ... re-soding would be great I gotta dig up those old pics when from standing on the sidelines looking acrross the field all you could see was the other teams knees and up lol
GACoach 10 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 It's Field Turf Big D. Field Turf everything inside the track including a drainage system. If they could get this it would be great!!! They would be crazy to put sod down. It wouldn't last with all the traffic the field gets. Little League, Soccer, Band, P.E., etc.
BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 Never have to worry about mowing it either or Coach Tarter getting the EPA on him for using pesticide.

I think it would be great to have field turf. I was just saying the estimates above are based on sod according to what I heard.
