Syracuse was co-champs with VT and Miami in 1996 and won outright in 1997-98. Miami has 5 outright and 2 co-titles. VT has 1 outright and two co-titles. Herbstreit had Rutgers at #5, Corse had WV at #5, and Howard had WVU at #4. No ACC teams in sight. While they may not really be experts they are what is the national scene of college football. Give VT a competent QB who can manage the offense and not panick like a girl when he gets a little bit of pressure on him, and you're easily looking at a top five team.
