Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 Can someone tell me what three teams, other than Salem, are in the AA, Region III, Division 4 playoffs?
Bluefield_Rules 46 Author Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 I guess the William Byrd/Fleming winner is one of the other three?
beaverball 10 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 I have a question pertaining to your question: How can 9-1 George Wythe and 8-2 Pulaski County not make the playoffs. Va's plaoff system stinks!!!

Va's plaoff system stinks!!! [/ QUOTE ] It's like college football, one loss and your season is possibly over as far the championship goes. A lot of good football is played in Virginia and their playoff system just doesn't do that quality of football justice. There is no way a team like Pulaski County should be sitting home for the playoffs.
beaverball 10 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 Imo both Pulaski County and George Wythe would go very deep into the playoffs. I think george Wyth would have a very good chance to win it all. They need to make some changes.

DMan 10 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 It seems like at least one or two get screwed every year. Honaker didn't make it in last year with a 9-1 record, yet they make it in this year with an 8-2 record, go figure. But they went 3-0 in the BDD and won the district, so they get an automatic bid. Haysi is the one that got screwed this year with a 9-1 record and no playoff spot. In some districts like the BDD and Hogo, if you don’t win the district, there’s a good chance you will be staying at home. Unfortunately, that's the way the system works. Bluefield_Rules 46 Author Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 Bedford looks strong and that QB (OB Blake) is fun to watch; at least the highlights I've seen on TV.
